agreed. as much as i hate him on the Flyers, i always been a fan of his since his Predators days.

Yeah, he seems like a great guy off the ice. Tons of charity stuff. I'd love him on the Rangers.

Yeah, Hartnell seems like a class guy. Maybe a bit of a jerk on the ice, but everyone's a competitor.

He improved his individual play. Sure, he learned the system and has improved rushing the puck up, but his individual play was bad at the beginning of the season. It was bad before our coach even implemented his system when he wanted to get a feel for how they played. He's improved a lot since the start of the season and last playoffs.

EVERYONE'S "individual play was bad at the beginning of the season." Again, it was all the system. I've watched how he's learned to play in it. He had an adjustment period like everyone else. I've went through similar changes when I used to play. I don't know if you know, but it's incredibly difficult to completely change your game to fit a new system. To blame it on anything but the system is just incorrect.

did anyone else just notice MSL on that play just now?

Comes across the blue line after looking behind him seeing a trailer (Staal)

drops the puck and bee-lines to the front of the net. Takes BOTH D with him.

Staal takes the big slapper.

MSL looks at Staal like what was that? Not in a showing him up sort of way, but more in the sense like "you had room to move in, why did you shoot"

I think that MSL is still trying to figure guys out. It's not meant to be said as an excuse, but it just seems like he plays a certain way and he's trying to fit that into the concept of what the Rangers are doing.
