Maybe try this once Marty comes back?

Kreider-Hayes-Nash
Miller-Brassard-Zucc
Hags-Step-MSL
Shep-Moore-Fast

idk... Nash and Hayes sounds ideal actually... hayes has been taking 2C minutes as well!

Here's the problem:

Hagelin and Hayes have explicit chemistry. MSL happens to have chemistry with Hags in just about every instance they've been paired. They're not getting broken up anymore.

XXXX-Stepan-XXXX
XXXX-Brassard-Zuccarello
Hagelin-Hayes-XXXX
Sheppard-Moore-XXXX

To fill those X's you have:

Kreider
Miller
Fast
MSL
Nash

- You could try Hagelin-Hayes-Nash, but then MSL has to play with Stepan, where he faces top line competition... That's where he becomes useless, UNLESS you're putting the Hayes line out against top competition, in which case Kreider-Stepan-MSL becomes a very lethal combination.
- You could try Kreider-Hayes-Nash, but then you have to do Hagelin-Stepan-MSL... I'd be interested in seeing that line, but lord knows how they would perform
- You could try Kreider-Stepan-Miller, which puts Nash back with Brass and Zucc, and then MSL with Hagelin-Hayes

I'd also be open to trying Fast somewhere in the top 6, but then Nash gets displaced to the 3rd or 4th lines...

We're a versatile team, but these players not as versatile, particularly in switching wings positions, as we expected them to be and that's why the lineup combinations seem like there are endless possibilities, but no solid results.

All I Know is I love the Miller-Brass-Zucc line. I don't want that going away.

I also want MSL with Hagelin and Hayes

Unfortunately that means we end up with Kreider-Stepan-Nash, unless you do Nash-Stepan-Fast, but then Kreider is demoted to the 4th line--then again maybe that isn't a bad thing. Talk about a nightmare matchup in terms of speed.

Miller-Brass-Zucc have great chemistry, don't break 'em up.

I agree--that line should stay.

The only thing you can do at this point is Switch up Stepan and Hayes while keeping the wingers in place on those lines... I think Nash would benefit greatly from playing with Hayes. I also think MSL will benefit from playing with Hagelin regardless of who is centering them (at least in regards to centers on this team).

Hagelin-Stepan-MSL
Miller-Brassard-Zuccarello
Kreider-Hayes-Nash
Sheppard-Moore-Fast

I never wish hurt on a player, but Glass absolutely cannot touch this lineup.

Hey guys - how about you quietly settle for a loss, let us have the 2 points and leave Montreal for us in the first round? Win - win, no? We play a team we LOVE playing against in the first round and you avoid all of the drama and endless whining that goes along with playing that same team?

What do you say?

Here's to a good game.

I'd give this a look and let MSL go up against weaker qual comp while playing with a center that can buy him some room and dish the puck.

MSL's games are weak when Kreider doesn't decide to show up for the night and he has less room to work with.. that won't be the case with Hayes. He also get that Kreider type speed on his other wing in Hagelin that can create room for him to get lost.

More time and space for MSL equals a lot of scoring chances.

I think Rick Nash can get Kreider going and vice versa. Although that trio as a whole wasn't that good in the playoffs last year, Kreider was. I think Nash busts out of his slump soon. Maybe needs a day or two off.

If florida can beat the god awful leafs and we beat ottawa in regulation, florida will be 3 pts behind for the 8th spot in a 3 way race. Now that's what i wanna see

It seems like whatever line Miller goes to becomes our best line...
Nah he's a bust.

Leave the lines the same until MSL comes back, then ship Glass off to Siberia.

Nash should go back with Brass and Miller should take Nash's spot on the top line. MSL should take Hayes' RW.

If anyone was to get anyone going out of a cold streak, it's Zuccarello. The guy has been good, even when not producing on the scoresheet

Keep Glass out

That's a team
This idea is intriguing.

I agree... I'll take the slight decline in the top line (Stepan) to strengthen lines 2 (Brassard) and 3 (Hayes).

Worst case, if Miller is that good, you leave the bottom 6 as is, and you put Miller on the top line with Kreider. Nash has shown he and Brassard have been a force all year, and Miller's game has fallen into place, which is exactly what we needed, and that will also be the key to getting Stepan working again.

Kreider-Stepan-Miller/Nash
Miller/Nash-Brassard-Zuccarello
Hagelin-Hayes-St. Louis
Sheppard-Moore-Fast

I'm hoping Lindberg and Hrivik become the call ups for the playoffs

should be a great game

what ever happens I'm hoping rick nash shows up. he's been really bad lately and he's starting to scare me. the playoffs are coming... he needs to be more involved, find some open ice and get back to what he was doing when he was scoring. gathering the puck and going hard to the net.

let the young bucks lead the way tonight. kevin hayes, jt miler and chris kreider. :yo:

this sens team can skate but so can we. should be a very entertaining game.

Kreider-Stepan-Nash
Miller-Brassgod-Zucchini
Hagelin-Hayes-MSL
Sheppard-Moore-Fast (Although we all know that Glass will somehow still be in the lineup)

This gives MSL the opportunity to get weaker matchups and he will be playing with two guys that can create space for him. At his age, Marty should not be tasked with going up against the other team's best players. Brassgod and Zucc play well with just about anyone. The first line can be good in theory but it all hinges on Stepan not playing like ****. Kreider hasn't been to impressive either, and I don't know what is up with Nash. Neck thing?

I like those a lot, especially the bolded line with their size and skill that line can dominate in the playoffs.

If we come away with even 1 point tonight, do we clinch?
58% chance we win the conference
99% chance we win the Metro Div

If Boston loses in regulation and rangers get a point, the checkmark will appear next to the Ranger name in the standings.
