Maybe try this once Marty comes back?
Kreider-Hayes-Nash
Miller-Brassard-Zucc
Hags-Step-MSL
Shep-Moore-Fast
idk... Nash and Hayes sounds ideal actually... hayes has been taking 2C minutes as well!
Here's the problem:
Hagelin and Hayes have explicit chemistry. MSL happens to have chemistry with Hags in just about every instance they've been paired. They're not getting broken up anymore.
XXXX-Stepan-XXXX
XXXX-Brassard-Zuccarello
Hagelin-Hayes-XXXX
Sheppard-Moore-XXXX
To fill those X's you have:
Kreider
Miller
Fast
MSL
Nash
- You could try Hagelin-Hayes-Nash, but then MSL has to play with Stepan, where he faces top line competition... That's where he becomes useless, UNLESS you're putting the Hayes line out against top competition, in which case Kreider-Stepan-MSL becomes a very lethal combination.
- You could try Kreider-Hayes-Nash, but then you have to do Hagelin-Stepan-MSL... I'd be interested in seeing that line, but lord knows how they would perform
- You could try Kreider-Stepan-Miller, which puts Nash back with Brass and Zucc, and then MSL with Hagelin-Hayes
I'd also be open to trying Fast somewhere in the top 6, but then Nash gets displaced to the 3rd or 4th lines...
We're a versatile team, but these players not as versatile, particularly in switching wings positions, as we expected them to be and that's why the lineup combinations seem like there are endless possibilities, but no solid results.
All I Know is I love the Miller-Brass-Zucc line. I don't want that going away.
I also want MSL with Hagelin and Hayes
Unfortunately that means we end up with Kreider-Stepan-Nash, unless you do Nash-Stepan-Fast, but then Kreider is demoted to the 4th line--then again maybe that isn't a bad thing. Talk about a nightmare matchup in terms of speed.
