So St.Louis and Stepan have to spend all day on a toilet, I hope they got a gas mask.

They shouldn't play tonight, can you imagine if they take a dump on the bench?

Sam: start of the second period and I don't see st.louis and stepan on the bench

Joe: they must of gotten hurt in the first period

Sam: actually Joe we're hearing that they are still in the bathroom with explosive diarrhea

This is only because I know what it takes for a goaltender (especially Henrik personally) to get mentally prepared for a game.

It's a great gesture that MSG wants to honor Henrik, and they should…but I believe it can actually have an adverse effect on Henrik's game because he has to switch out of 'game mode' and have all the focus, attention on him, pose for photos, smile, etc.

A goaltender like him doesn't speak to anyone for hours before a game, has a whole routine that is followed the same way every single night. To uproot that, can negatively effect his game.

It's a RISK. Doesn't mean they can't win the game with him, but I would rather let Henrik enjoy the moment, without the added pressure of having to perform minutes after and having to adjust his entire mental state, and give Talbot the start and the time to prepare normally. 100% focus on the game.

In most cases i would agree. Personally also know how much mental preperation etc it takes before a game-

But this is a very special moment for hank and i dont think it will throw him off in terms of focus.
He thrives on beeing known, and he will be honored today infront of his whole family. And if thats not a boost for you as a goalie and a family man, nothing will.

I think the issue would be in terms of the team, seeing as the **** virus is going around, knocking st.louis and stepan out is not good.

Overall i think this might end up in a loss for rangers, as they just have such a sad home record this season

The Rangers have a 95% chance of making the playoffs and finishing the season with a 5-5 record would still give them a 97% chance of making the playoffs

Pretty sure they got that stat directly from here http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Eastern/Metropolitan/NYRangers.html

Scroll down to the section labeled "What If"

Another interesting stat from there, there's a 73% chance that our first round opponent will be Philly.

Yup. Not to look ahead or anything, but Wednesday night's game will be a big one in terms of determining home ice in round 1 if it is the Rangers and Flyers that meet.

That's why - despite how great Hank has been, I'd have gone Talbot tonight to rest Hank for Wednesday.

It would take a big push from Washington or Columbus to overtake Philadelphia, with us still making it in a seeded spot.

I don't imagine either Pittsburgh or Boston care to play Detroit in the first round.
