And at the time of his extension, Girardi was playing at the top of his game. It's always easier to judge decisions years later, but that is the same as saying Donald Trump was an idiot for investing in the housing market in 2006, because that market crashed in 2008

Girardi was bad then just not as bad. Stralman was always the better choice
