The whole team played a garbage period, including the goalie.

Team.

T-e-a-m.

They all sucked.

I agree.

Now let's hope they play like they did in periods 1-3 of the Sharks game. It'd be swell if Hank plays like he did in the 2nd period of that game, too. ;)

So, you don't want folks discussing a Ranger player in a Ranger game day thread? :help:

I don't want it dominating the GDT throughout 400+ posts.

There is more to the game than one goal allowed.

I don't see the harm in it, personally.

Cangelosi.........."good news for the Devils , Ottawa is leading the Rangers 2-1 ." The Devils have 71 points and down 3-1 vs Boston . He must be nuts.

It's not about them making the playoffs. They care more about our failure than they're success. Every year we don't make the playoffs is like winning the cup to them.

Got an okay by the moderator too. I don't see the harm in it, personally.

Goalies are a big part of the game, aren't they?

I agree with the other posters that yes, it's only a one goal game and far from over, but were you listening to the stats about the Rangers record this season when trailing by a goal going into the 2nd period? It's not pretty.

The reason I'm already frustrated, is that I keep tuning in to each game hoping I'm going to see something different from the Rangers, some fire, or drive, or clearly displayed determination that shows me they know and care that their playoff spot is in jeopardy, and I just have such a hard time seeing it with this team. Some of those Torts teams were painful when it came to goal scoring and offense, but at least on most nights they were clearly the team that wanted it more. It's just frustrating that this fire I keep wanting to see throughout the roster only seems to be burning in a handful of players on the team.

Lets just put it this way...had Hank saved either goal...Rosen wouldn't exactly be screaming "whada save!" I Know this team isn't scoring...I think it's up to him to steal some games for us. He's never really been one of those goalies that goes lights out and carries a team on his back but I think he's gonna have to if he want to be considered elite...Is that fair? Probably not, but it is what it is.

Not sure if serious.

Because aside from being the worst metaphor of all time, it makes no sense to call defensive play "irrelevant".

it's irrelevant in the discussion of how he's been for us. He's invisible and simply not making offensive impact. His assists are meh, he's set up Nash like 0 times in 12 years, just offensively underwhelming. At least the other guys can skate. I don't care if a car has nice safety features if it drives like a 3 wheeled car.

Bobe, I make bad analogies, it's my thing, leave me alone.

The Rangers are 4-16-8 this season when trailing after one period.
