Every person who is even tangentially involved in the Hurricanes power play should be fired immediately. When the obit on this season is written, the words "power play" will be in the first sentence.

As for Muller, the general rule of thumb for a GM is that you get three coaches. JR has made four coaching changes (Holmgren-to-Maurice-to-Laviolette-to-Maurice-to-Muller). So whether you think Muller should be fired or not, I don't think JR should be the one doing it. I think he's hired enough coaches, and it's time for somebody else to get a shot.

This team is a total dumpster fire. They simply don't work hard enough to win consistently, and I have no idea how that can be so acceptable for so long.

Who is in-charge of the power play? It's kind of sad that none of us know. I guess no one wants to take responsibility for that dumpster fire.

On the bright side, we've got a sick goalie.

Like we did with Cam Ward in 2006. So we'll surround him with sub-par defensive talent, forwards who won't backcheck, and a backup goalie who can't be trusted, so he gets to play 72 games a season, lead the league in shots faced, and break down at age 29.
