I made no attempt to predict what kind of player Chris Kreider will be. I was speaking strictly about him right now.

30 sec or 30 minutes. Do you want Rangers to quit playing before the time is up? since he wasn't injured, it was a good lesson for Kreider, he won't do the same mistake again.

And what is that? Staged fights? Getting deked out of his jock by the opposing scrub d-man? Giving the puck away when pressured like last game against the Penguins? The lack of footspeed? He brings absolutely nothing positive to the table. At least Gilroy can lead a breakout.

I like that Gilroy is playing, for all his flaws he can bring something that we lack to the back-end.

However I think he would be most successful paired with Staal, and I think he'll be paired with Strålman which makes for a less defensively reliable pairing. I guess the over/under for Gilroy's TOI will be something like 5:00.

Will the Rangers pay Orpik back for the Kreider? It was a clean hit but Orpik hit Stepan late last season. Have to send him a message. Take a run at the Pitt players. The Rangers don't have a D who takes no prisoners and smacks around the opposition. McIlrath will need to step up and fill that need in the future.

Well in the end it's a matter of opinion, but I agree that Bickel has the uphand on Purinton and Ulanov, for example, because at least he's not taking dumb penalties like those 2 did.

But I don't know why Poti is on that list. He wasn't bad as a Ranger, just hated, because they traded the fan favorite York in exchange for him. Actually Del Zotto reminds me a bit of Poti. I would imagine if the Rangers traded Kreider for Del Zotto, people wouldn't be talking nice over MDZ.
