I wonder if a small part of some of the injuries is simply due to having a young team trying to learn the pro game but also trying to do too much (for certain players). Especially when considering the young D. The team D was bad, so they didn’t always have good support. Maybe a combination of these things resulted in some injuries?
as stated by a poster get Guhle on his right side of D

I didn't think Guhle would get 7M+ now given his offensive numbers.

Guhle probably could have gotten a higher AAV if he waited. But now he has 33 million in the bank, in case he gets injured.

Ya there’s no way. Unless he produces or turns into Rod Langway defensively, he’s not a 7 million dollar player.

I agree.
I see Hutson as being a sheltered specialist when all is said and done.
I know that isn't popular around here but it is what it is.

It's not popular because it's bs. It comes from a very significant mis-evaluation of his defensive skills.
The NHL is trending towards Hutson's style of skillset and he has over performed the last 3 years. I know that we have Mark Streit derangement syndrome, but this is false pattern recognition based on a bad analysis of Lane's skillset.

Would have been 8*9 or more. Ds enter their prime around 27-28 - ie. a lot more $.

He might be a first pairing at that point.

Looked way better in the two games against detroit than i would have ever expected , I know , adrenaline and all , but still. Hard not to be high on him going forward. I have no doubt that Lane is a big game player too , I'm more curious how he looks on a Wednesday night in Minnesota in game 53 of the season.

If you know him you know he loves playing the game and I'm not concerned one bit with him as long as our #2 guy is a good 2 way guy on his own. And it looks like Reinbacher might just be that.

Reinbacher is gonna play with Guhle on the 1st pair eating minutes and play against other team 1st line.

I don’t think we have the perfect partner for Huston yet on the 2nd pair though

That's a pretty sweet deal. Hughes definitely seems to be able to get the players to buy into what he's trying to build.

I agree here.

The perfect RHD for Hutson is in Calgary, and he’s named Rasmus Andersson.
