Get a billion chances, score on no more than one of those chances. Turtle and get crushed.

It looks that way. There's no system, everyone is just doing whatever, playing terrible hockey. If you want to salvage the season before it gets out of control, make a move in the next week.

Lindy Ruff is a warm body with head coaching experience. I think he's fine as an interim.

They do need to look to the future, though. I'd love someone who actually cares about advanced stats.

Bye bye AV I don’t think he make next Saturday’s game.

Well my prediction was we had to win both the Debbie and Islander games otherwise AV was history and Ruff would be behind the bench next Saturday night vs Nashville.

If we lost tonight which looks like that's the way it's headed, I'd say AV would likely have to win the Penguin game where Gorton would than give him the Islander game if we somehow beat the Pens. If we than lost to the Islanders, yeah, I'd say it's all over for AV. It's a shame as I like AV but his coaching prowess has slowly but surely gone downhill and he's cost us too many games including the very winnable Ottawa series.

Oh well, a coaching change very likely would be just what the doctor ordered.

It's certainly more extreme than it was.

And then compare 16-17 and 15-16 to 13-14 when we almost never did it, until the LA series.

But the thing is, AV turtles, it blows up in his face, and then he decides "obviously we didn't turtle enough."

He does NFL in weekends during the season.

What could he have done on either goal against?

First one he was covering two guys in the slot because the center lost their check.

Second one was a seeing eye deflection that no goalie on earth could save. How exactly could he have done something different?

Though, I do agree that he's been a disappointment so far. He needs to be in Hartford playing 25 minutes a night.

He did give the puck away before the second goal. I'm not necessarily criticizing him, just pointing out some reasons why AV will probably bench him next game, assuming he's not fired first.
