Alex freaking Turcotte may sign at any moment and I come here to check out if any blurbs about it and only can find an Adrian Kempe debate....can the Kempe debate go to news / rumors / roster thread?
I realize that if and when he signs, there may be a Thread just for that....but I figure it may post here first!

Many twists and turns in this Turcotte thread, from tacos to Kempe to flat earthers.

Yes, he would be eligible for the playoffs if the Reign qualify. Since his ELC contract does not start until the 2020-2021 season, he should be signing an ATO today or tomorrow with the Reign. He won't be able to play on the Kings this year.
:devdance:

Next year Reign will be getting Turcotte , Fagemo , Hultz , Madden , Thomas wow what an upgrade !

Fagemo and Kaliyev might even make the Kings just like Konecny and others made the jump right away and performed . Talk about exciting times for Kings hockey !

Madden just finished his second year at Northeastern...he has 2 years left there and unsigned, ATM...I hope he signs. Jacob Moverare could be coming back over too,
from Frolunda. As Bjornfot and Anderson make the Kings, a spot opens for him. Usually, the AHL players step up in their second full year, (except Rempal) so hoping JAD, Kupari and Durzi
step up. Ontario AND the Kings will be better to watch next year for sure....

a month ago, was not sure Vilardi was NHL ready and not knowing if Turcotte was going back to Wisconsin. SUDDENLY, Vilardi is an NHL player and Turcotte a Pro and probably playing with the Reign NOW and will be vying for a spot on the Kings in 6 months! If Kupari makes a good recovery, don't count him out.

So, 11 games with the Reign. 8 at home and 3 on the road. Perfect scenario would be Alex scores 6+ points in the 11 games and helps get the Reign into the playoffs and gets playoff experience.
Actually perfect would be 10+ points and helps the Reign win a playoff round...since Vilardi and
Petersen are playoff eligible, a Calder Cup possiblity?

exciting indeed ! Moverare has always been a favorite of mine and I thought he would be doing what he is doing now little sooner but going back to Sweden really helped his development . I think after all the predictions and assumptions we made about who might actually be our next Scuderi or Mitchell would be look no further I believe Moverare is our guy . He is going to be a staple in the bottom pairing and a great defenseman for us .

Nousianen gives me Lubo vibes and a modern type offensive dman who will surprise many . Can’t wait I’m loving the inclusion of youth into the lineup without hesitation contrary to what we are used to

I was on team keep Turcotte in WI another year, but after watching a good amount of their games, that team seemed directionless. That being said, I'm actually very happy his ELC doesn't start until next season so we don't burn a year giving him a meaningless NHL game this season.

If not for the fact that games probably won't be played in front of fans, I'd be chomping at the bit to go the next Gulls-Reign game in San Diego to see him in pro action!
