People coming into work sick drives me absolutely crazy. Your putting everyone else at risk because you don't want to burn a personal day.

I cannot get sick, i have a kid at home with medical issues and because some jack wagon wants to act like a hero and come to work coughing and sneezing all over the place your putting that at risk.

End Rant.

I always wondered what the healthy persons recourse is for people that come to work sick. We have two guys where I work, one has never missed a day and the other has missed less that a week, one with 25 years and the other 30.
We rip them constantly for it. This isn't grade school, your not going to get a sticker for showing up every day. You get sick time for a reason. Don't f***ing get us sick because your an idiot.

This is one issue that doesn't make me angry, for once. I never, ever call in sick - you guys would hate me lol. I am as careful as possible not to breathe on people or touch too many things and I sanitize my hands constantly, but I know it doesn't help much at all. I've never really had a very corporate kind of job, though, so maybe I'd act differently in the rat race.

On a different note. I went out and bought supplies yesterday to donate. Turns out tampons come in different sizes.

Was raised by a single mom, and have a sister who is currently 8 years old.

The internet became a household thing when i was about 12-13 years old. I was more concerned with porn than what sized tampon my mom used haha

Makes sense. I was also raised by a single mom, but I had an older sister, so I knew about those things.

Where you work can be a pain though. People complain about people who come in sick, but then bosses and others gripe if someone IS sick and not at work.

In my office, if you have more than three sick occurrences or three late occurrences in the same year, they start disciplinary actions. It also takes a big chunk out of your overall review score. I have all the time off in the world banked but I only call in if I'm not able to drive, constantly vomiting, or unable to swallow without feeling like shards of glass are in my throat. At least sick occurrences include multiple days in a row. More than two and I need a doc's note to come back, which is fair enough.

When I was temping for Bausch & Lomb I posted on another forum during the whole "Renu Contact Solution is eating your eyes!" thing back in the early 2000's and another employee saw it and hunted me down. We're still friends today!

I'm not the best judge - the internet down here is powered by howler monkeys on stationary bikes, so it's always slow.

EDIT: One thing I did just notice is that the background seems to have changed to a slightly less racist icy blue off-white color.
