Sutter is the least of their problems. I'd start by trading Brown and if that doesn't work, keep on trading until they remember how hard to work to score a goal or two.
Respectfully and totally disagree.
We won the cup w this system so every team studied it and found its flaws. Sutter has not adapted anything new into it and it is highly predictable.
The system grinds down other teams in a 7 game series but you have to remember our own players are subjected to 82 games of this wear and tear brutal two way system.
People argue our defensemen are awesome because we allow the least bit of goals, well our forwards bust their tails coming back to aid them more then any other team in the league also contributing to why they are tired. Truthfully 4 of our Dman are lead of foot with no offence or in Muzzins case lacking hockey IQ and 1 is having a horrid sophomore slump. I would shed no tears if Greene, Mitchell, RR, or Muzzin were traded.
Last but not least Sutter let's Stoll, Greene, and to some extent Clifford take needless penalty after penalty without repercussion. This is gassing our team as we use our Elite on the kill burning preciousness energy in our own end defending.
It's Sutters antiquated system, his use of players on the PK, his oddball lineups, and his favouritism of players that are the downfall of the team.
Like Messiers last years in the League, I loved ya two years ago, now your old and not accepting change.
Bye Mr Sutter, thank you for the cup, I will always remember that.
