Yeah but we suck, therefore we probably don't have annoying fans that show up in other cities so "they can rep the 'Zona dawg". Bandwagon fans are a scourge that falls on any successful team, unfortunately. Just look at he Seahawks. Right now Chicago is the most successful team so they're naturally going to have the largest portion of annoying bandwagon fans. It could happen to any team really. Hell, I remember when Colorado Avalanche used to have a lot of obnoxious fans that would up to games here over 10 years ago.

All of the Red Wings fans I've met out here have been from Michigan like myself. There's a lot of people from Michigan out here (Chicago too). I don't think the "bandwagon" label applies. Bandwagon fans do not show up in masses to watch a team live.

I don't really care, full house tonight, standing room only tickets sold. It helps the team stick around. Players shouldn't be affected by it, if anything they should bring their play up to try and piss off the opposing fans that are there in large numbers. If I was a Coyotes fan there, I would try to be 2x as loud though.

Going to be torn, watching the Olympics opening ceremonies until puck drop, but if the ceremonies look good, it might be tough to switch over.

Not in Michigan or Chicago, but in other cities they absolutely do. I once argued for 30 minutes with a Blackhawks fan born and raised in Mesa, Arizona who was trying to tell me before the 2012 playoffs started that Corey Crawford's .903 save percentage was better than Mike Smith's .930 save percentage that season.

He had never been to Chicago and would come to all the Blackhawks/Coyotes games and wouldn't attend a single other game the entire season. I doubt he paid through the nose to go see the Blackhawks in Glendale back when Adrian Aucoin was captain. That is a bandwagon fan. That is the annoying kind of weirdo, who goes to game and screams random nonsense the entire game. And that is the kind of fan that drives us nuts, not the people in Michigan or Illinois or even the knowledgable fans, who have been following their team for years.

No, I mean I know a fair amount of season ticket holders such as myself who sold their tickets to the game tonight, and considering the high resale prices, presumably to Hawks fans (no real way to tell when using Stubhub though).

I honestly can't blame people that shell out money for season tickets, that would be willing to sell their ticket to someone that only shows up what, 2 times a year? If they are willing to pay that price, so be it.

It's that combined with the fact that I just really don't like dealing with the Hawks fans who show up to the arena when they're in town.

That too. I've only been to a Hawks game during the playoffs, and lots of Coyotes fans show up in the playoffs. Never been there during a regular season game.

I'll get my first drink at puck drop.

I started a while ago. :) But safe to make it through the game. Tomorrow is another story with the Suns game. Starting the bar hop on Mill at 3pm, taking the light rail to the game, and planning on drinking on the light rail. Not sure if I will remember the end of the game.

Apparently we're wimps for not wanting to go to the game as per the Hawks GDT.

Well when you are as annoying as Blackhawks fans, it's safe to say other fans shouldn't bother you. They were the home team when a Jets player's helmet was stolen if I recall. 0point1 might be able to confirm that with his avatar.

You should have heard what certain Pens Fans said in the last meeting. They not only said that Pens Fans will outnumber the Coyotes Fans but those same people argued that they(Pens Fans) should boycott going to any games in Arizona because "we do things differently there than in Pittsburgh".

:laugh::shakehead :facepalm:

Yeah, the guy in my avatar stole the helmet from the Jets' player when they were playing in Chicago.
