I'd argue that Phoenix is a top 10 hockey city in the county. The problem is that we're not a Coyotes city. There's just as many Hawk, Red Wings, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Jets, Flames, Oilers, Canucks, Rangers, Penguins, Flyers, Bruins, and Sabres fans as Coyotes fans.

And none of they support the Coyotes. It's bull ****.

You speak the truth. It sucks. We get it, your team isn't playing that night, but enjoy the fact that if you are quick enough you can get cheap tickets to watch your team play while enjoying Phoenix, AZ while the rest of the nation is buried under snow. I hate opposing fans so much for that. One of my old bosses was a Red Wings fan and only showed up for Red Wings games, and refused to show Coyotes games at work.

If we look hard enough, we will find fans of all 30 NHL Teams here but of course some have more fans than others here.

That is not true, many ticket package holders do make the Coyotes their 2nd Favorite team.

If I moved to another city I'd probably go to a fair amount of their local hockey team's games. Maybe not fulls season tickets, but at least like 10 a year or so. And if it was an NHL team, definitely every time the Coyotes and Habs came to town (unless it was actually Montreal - Habs season tickets are expensive).

I was looking at getting a job in Portland - would probably buy Winterhawks season tickets if I went there.

I like how the setup had the players walk by just the Phoenix bench, not Chicago. Keith Yandle looked fired up.

My point is that only a small percentage of hockey fans here call the Coyotes their team, and a very small percentage of opposing fans cheer for Phoenix.

More Canadian here for winter cheer for the Coyotes, but everyone I know that cheers for the Wings or Hawks talks about how much they HATE the Coyotes. Yeah. They talk about how much they HATE us.

It is better to be hated or feared than having no feeling at all. Hate from rival fans is a form of respect. The Hawks have every reason to dislike us, with Smith's antics and the Torres hit.
