Yesterday's lines:

Korpi - Vermette - Boedker
Doan - Hanzal - Vrbata
Kennedy - Ribeiro - Moss
Biz - Chipchura - Halpern

FML FML FML FML

Oh my...

Last year we saw Conner with no outcome. This year we have our Conner in Kennedy...
Why Kennedy in hell??? Let's try Miele on the LW with Hanzal and Vrbata. Or Lessio/Rieder/Brown.
Why Brown gets garbage minutes in 4 line with Biz and Kennedy play good minutes with good players? With NO results.

Even my English much better than his production.

Oh wait... I'm forget... he has 160 nhl games in 6 seasons. HE'S PROVEN!

This guy gets it.

I'm off to get some shuteye. See you all later for what should be an intense game if the Pens and Kings games are any indication. These two teams don't like each other too much ;)

(soak up some of that sun for me, it's pretty damp and cold over here almost all year!)

Hawks fans in the Midwest are fine. It's the ones in Arizona I dislike. Just like Buffalo fans in Buffalo or Detroit fans in Michigan. No problems there. The ones here? Ugh. It's like they moved here, went into "I'm on VACATION!" mode and were never able to switch it off.

I left a Red Wings game out here last season. As I was departing I was listening to a Coyotes fan complain about all of the people from Michigan that showed up to see the Wings play in Glendale. He then went into this rant about how much he hated Detroit and saying a slew of insulting remarks about the city. He was right next to me. I called him out on his b.s. and pointed out that he was such a Coyotes super fan that he showed up to the game wearing a Montreal sweater. He didn't say a word after that.

Every team has annoying fans. The Coyotes are no exception.

Yeah but we suck, therefore we probably don't have annoying fans that show up in other cities so "they can rep the 'Zona dawg". Bandwagon fans are a scourge that falls on any successful team, unfortunately. Just look at he Seahawks. Right now Chicago is the most successful team so they're naturally going to have the largest portion of annoying bandwagon fans. It could happen to any team really. Hell, I remember when Colorado Avalanche used to have a lot of obnoxious fans that would up to games here over 10 years ago.

Even though I'll get to see a great team in the Hawks, many players who were part of a miracle..... I think what I'm most looking forward to tonight is: This will be the last time I have to drive to the arena and watch my beloved yet incredibly agravating Coyotes for over two weeks. I tell ya... this teams been tough to watch for too much of this season.

The last game here was during the ASU/AZ game so that might have explained why more opposing fans were there. Hopefully, it will be more equal. I was disgusted last time. Felt like an idiot because I bought a beer but then decided to leave and tried to toss it in the garbage, missed, and had it spray everywhere...just a bad bad night.

Even if you're leaving immediately, you've gotta finish a $9 beer. It's stadium Coors Light, stuff is so low-alcohol that you're even allowed to buy it on a Sunday morning in South Carolina :biglaugh:

Its was a sin I admit, and it was one of those $11 bombers that I probably even tipped for. Well I am off from work to battle the traffic demons blocking me from Glendale.

Moving a D to forward so rarely happens, but why not throw Rundblad on Ribeiro's wing? Rundblad would be no worse off (offensively) than the two clowns already playing with Ribeiro.

Heh, probably not considering the other option is Kennedy in terms of scoring.

But I think Rundblad would be awful for the forecheck and sustained pressure. It would kill the time of possession for his line. Kennedy can't score but the thing is good at is cycling and at least in that case it's not in the other teams hands.

I don't think the lack of success in puck possession is due to forechecking. They have plenty of grinders doing that, most games without much success in terms of meaningful, sustained pressure in the opposition zone. It's guys like Klink & Moss that are killing our possession time when they play with a skilled playmaker like Rib, never really able to take advantage of the time & space he creates getting into the zone (and never supports the puck effectively through the neutral zone).

What we need is more skill and vision, allowing them to keep the puck for longer, and be patient to wait for good chances to develop. We could use someone like Erat really really badly, if he doesn't have additional hidden issues in Washington.

almost pointless to even dress ribs apart from having him on the pp, with that third line it wouldnt make a difference if he was playing with biz and halpy :(

I have thought the same thing. Get him out of the press box and might be a surprise on the wing. Could it hurt? He is great with the puck and a good skater.

I'm with you on having Klink and Moss with Ribeiro, it sucks.

But just in terms of playing Rundblad as a forward it would make for an awful lot of shifts in the defensive zone. He's not spent his entire career going into the corners digging out pucks, passing from the behind the net, dumping and chasing, or getting into the tough shooting lanes near the crease. Plus Rundblad is more of a distributor anyway so putting him as a winger with Ribs wouldn't really mesh. If he has a good shot he hasn't really shown it at the NHL level.
