Someone from my company (in NJ) drove just outside of Hartford today from 9-12. You could give it a shot, thats all im saying. Im sure there are fans that are attending tonights game that are coming from Hartford. Maybe not a ton but im sure there are a few.

It's possible they can take Amtrak or something. I'm just going on my personal experience. I wouldn't want to be driving in this mess.

I'm gonna be in attendance

Hopefully the snow keeps some people away so I can maybe get a seat upgrade :naughty:

There will also definitely be a food and drink discount. Maybe as much as 30%. That's what they did the last time I was at a game in a terrible storm.

Will be lots of extra scarf giveaways as well :)

I work a block away and will be going. Stinks because i bought ticks last night and now they're half price :help:

Such a waste of good money on tickets. the NHL should do the right thing & postpone the game. They postponed a game between Buffalo & Carolina a couple of weeks ago due to snow.

Yes. Biron retired. Lundqvist gets sick during a snowstorm which makes it impossible to get another goalie to New York. Just like the Rangers planned it.

 you can't deny it, it seems like the perfect "accidental" backup plan in case your starter gets sick on short notice. Hell, if I ran a team, I'd definitely make sure I had at least one recently-retired goalie as an analyst :yo:

It's doable if you've got a vehicle that can handle this weather with 4WD but anything short of that and there's no way I'm on the roads.

In NYC, the problem is not so much your personal driving, but the driving of the idiots around you. Even if you're stopping slowly with plenty of distance before the light, there's always going to be fools slamming the brakes and skidding all over the place and there's nothing you can do about it

Sorry for being an idiot, tonight is my first game of the season and I have a terrible memory...gates open at 6 or 6:30? I wanted to check out the bridges before hand. Also, I'm guessing you can access the bridges no matter which tower you go up?

6 because it's a 7 PM start. You can but one bridge they may not let you on because most of it is only for the media. Depends what time you get up there.

I think you're overthinking this!

I don't even know you anymore.

Cam is the 3rd best goalie in NY. Not worried we still have a better goalie than the isles have had in a decade.

Possible but not likely imo.

I don't even remember the last time it happened here. The 90s??

I remember a game back in the lat 60s or early 70s against??? Big snow storm. Hardly anyone in the stands. Everyone came down and sat close to the ice. I think Rangers gave everyone tickets to the next game?

4WD/AWD doesn't mean all that much. I handle just as well and keep up easily with anyone. I drive a FWD Sports Hatch (GTI). AWD equipped cars may take off from a standstill slightly faster than I can, but that's it. Doesn't affect actual road-handling and the ability to deal with tracks/ruts or curves. That's all based on driver experience and tires. The problem is that so many people believe all-seasons are OK for snow driving. They're not. They're not even close to being a substitute for proper Winters. Then there's the whole infrastructure as well. Crews there aren't as quick to get things operational, at least not for anything other than getting people home from their regular commute.

Bottom line is that I'm not heading out for a long highway drive in anything but a car that's mounted on great Winter tires. I'll take a 1990 Tercel on Hakkapelliitas before a brand new Jeep on all-seasons.
