Problem with a bunch of picks is that even if they develop well it’s awkward with roster spots with everyone ripening at the same time.

Yes, you can trade, but at the end of the day is any GM really taking 5 picks over Bedard? Probably not.

It’s like making a movie and casting 5 low-A list, high-B list actors over slapping another Top Gun or MI out there with Tom Cruise.

1. 27/37 = 0.73, 20/27 = 0.74 How is that for math pal?
2. I said that weight doesn't matter for 17 year old kids. You don't think teenagers don't grow? LOL
3. Do you have season tickets to Regina Pats games? He plays a lot like Kane, and I don't really care what you think or say about it.
4. Everything I said is correct, because opinions are like ass holes, everybody has one, and most of the time they stink.
5. So Mcdavid put up less pts in 6 or so WJHC games, so that makes him an inferier prospect? hahaha
He plays nothing like Kane. Not remotely or even slightly. He plays closest to Joe Sakic of any player I can think of. Yes, I hold WHL season tickets for the Broncos, not the Pats.

Michkov plays nothing like Ovechkin. He plays most like Debrincat. A little bit more shake to his game.

He didn't put up just less points. McDavid had 3 goals 10 points in 7 games. An impressive total for an 18 year old. Bedard shattered records as a 17 year old. He had 23 points and 9 goals in 7 games.

Opinions about what they will become are unknown. Opinions on what they have done are concrete. Bedard is indisputably the best player his age we've seen since Crosby. Arguably since Lemieux.

Idc about a world junior tournament dude. Racking up pts against dog shit teams doesn't impress me. You should go look up Pat kane's junior numbers. Not only are they similar stylistically, but their production is almost the same as well. As well as with their height, hands, and hockey IQ. Pat Kane put up 145 pts in 58 games as a 17 year old in a superior league than the WHL. I am done arguing with you though, will see how this all progresses in 5 years from now. Have a good day bud!

You're dead wrong. This is what Crosby had to say: Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby said. "They're high, but you see him play and you see what he can do. I had a chance to skate with him, and just no weaknesses. It's pretty cool to see someone at that age as dominant as he is."

Kane was weak on pucks, poor defensively (still is), played with elite linemates and was almost a year older than him. Again, if you think they have similar styles you haven't watched the player. They aren't even slightly the same.

The junior tournaments are the #1 scouted events on the planet. But no, Yotes4Cup is right and NHL scouts are wrong. Heck, Bedard didn't even play in the 2nd half of the games that got out of hand. He might have had 30 points in the coach wanted to run it up.

Kane has three stanley cups and a HOF career. Will see if Bedard reaches the same heights. I've watched Bedard play and the way they move around the ice is the same. This is the last post I'll make to you as there is no point of me wasting anymore time arguing with you.

If the Blues traded Parayko and Vrana in the offseason and wound up with 5 first round picks, would you rather have the picks or Bedard?

For more context I’m putting the picks at 9th, 18th, 21st, 26th, and 30th.
Bedard. Picks are too late.

only works when your 1st overall is yakupov or lafreniere lol
Except nobody thought Yakupov or Laffreniere were Yakupov's or Laffreniere's.

Sure, he's got cups and is a HOFer. He still doesn't play remotely the same style as Bedard. Like not even close. Bedard is more of a Sakic/Kaprizov hybrid. I wouldn't argue with me either. You aren't well-equipped for it.

Bedard easily. The best pick coming back is let's say at #9. It's a big no no

To convince me, you would to send me 2 picks in the top 4 this year, another one in the top 10 and the final 2 have to be between 10 and 16. So pretty much it ain't happening either way

The Islanders have traded their last four 1st round picks + top prospect for Horvat, Romanov, Palmieri, and Pageau.

I wouldn't do the original offer but picks 2 through 6? Yes. I would in this year's draft. Bedard is going to a bad team, every team would take Bedard 1st probably. But if you somehow managed to have picks 2 3 4 5 6, why the f*** would you trade them? You gonna get damn good players at 2 3 4 5 and 6 probably. 5 top 6 picks is better than 1 regardless of how good that 1 is, but this is assuming some team had picks 2 through 6 and that's just not a thing

Ok sure, you could also have selected;

Eichel
Marner
Meier
Rantanen
Hintz

Etc

I also don’t get why so many people are posting responses like yours. Each draft class is different potential wise, it’s not equivalent at all.

This draft is a very strong one. It’s worth taking the picks imo.
It isn't, at all. Not even close. You take the guaranteed franchise Center every single time.
