Playing a simpler game will do such wwonders. I don't get why we have to do stupid no look passes or make huge rink wide passes 25 hours a day and 8 days a week. Make the smart simple plays, we will Oohh and ahhh when goals are scored cause of it, and when good D is played.

Damn, everytime I see that video, I wanna hit something. Those commentators making fun of Sauer after the hit, who may never play again from this mind you.

Yeah. This is one game I would have liked to have the Boogieman (RIP) with us just to destroy that Phaneuf punk with a freight train "clean hit".
 
Wonder if Rupp and Orr will renew their love affair tonight? Rupp bested him in a couple of their first fights, then Orr laid the smack down on him in a game vs the Devs. I think Rupp was out of the lineup after that one. Orr back at the garden ill bet hell be looking to go with someone.

for ****ing real... classless move by an otherwise classy organization. clean hit or not, if you see a guy laying on the ice you keep your ****ing mouth shut. they teach you that when you're 4 years old. one of the announcers clearly wanted the other to stop talking and realized the severity of the hit. that video makes me sick. clean hit or not, you don't celebrate over an injury.

i really hope we don't have an early fight, we can't afford to lose the momentum tonight
 
Watching this game with my mother-in-law who is a big Leafs fan. Please Rangers, don't let me down tonight! :p:

Marc's impact likely isn't as harsh as Dion's.

If it's a clean hit, it's a clean hit. I don't think the head was targeted there.

I hope Sauer is back sooner rather than later.

I agree. It was a clean hit, unfortunate hit, but clean nonetheless. He got hurt because his helmet came off and his head banged against the class, Dion made no contact to the head.

totally agree with this.

Every game we've lost this year has been almost 100% about our failings than the other team flat out beating us.

It's been disgusting to watch.

It's hard to call a hit beauty, when a player is injured. but it was pretty damn clean, I'm sure Sauer doesn't have any ill feelings towards Dion. It's a physical game and things happen, he wasn't looking to injure him. See the De Costa comments after his encounter with Phaneuf.

Yeah, it was a clean hit. I have nothing against the hit. What bothers me is the reactions of the commentators after the incident.

I don't think they expected it to be that serious because Sauer did get off the ice pretty much on his own right away. If he was laying there like Savard, they probably wouldn't have been that pumped up.
