Every goalie wants to stop a breakaway, but the fault isn't placed on the goalie if he doesn't stop it.

The point is how that play developed. When you have five total players on the ice, and ONE player from the other team sneaks by everyone, leaving your defense completely unaware of what is going on, THAT is who you blame for that goal. Not the goaltender.

This is hockey knowledge 101.

I remember this class at hockey school. Goalies are absolved from all blame unless approved by nevawrong.

I think his numbers are way inflated. If he were still in Ottawa, his numbers would be in the toilet.

you think their defense is actually that good? aside from the fact that Bishop is huge as pretty much covers all of the bottom of the net hes got great mechanics, never seams to be out of place and is very calm in the net.

if their inflated at all its by the fact that he is a monster and has less net to cover

that thing is probably 10 times better than reimer

Every team circles their trip to NYC on the calender. Teams always bring it harder when they play us. Handicaps us every home game.

Yeah... I mean, I'm sure teams circle their trips to Montreal, too, and that club has two dozen cups. There is no excuse for other teams bringing higher levels of intensity; the Rangers have to find a way to be competitive every night.
