Kings no goal in 3rd high stick

Whoever picked tonight for that Richards next goal pool must have been cursing.

But the Kings are 7th in goal differential.

I don't know what anyone can expect by Lombardi working the phones. Where's the cap space? Who do the Kings trade? Who can they bring in? The guys that are on this team, that are being paid a lot of money, are going to have to be the ones saving this offense.

This. There are a few candidates to deal (Stoll, Frattin, Lewis) but who wants them, and that group that has interest, who is willing to offer up whatever LA is seeking (likely a goalscorer) for them? Not to mention we need to replace whatever it is those guys brought (like Stoll and faceoff abilities).

Only after that POS Wiesse kicked his leg out. Watch the video. Quick adding a little sugar but the casuck kicked his leg out too. Second time during the game. The one he did on DD should get him a suspension.

I've watched that video I don't how many times and I don't what you do. Quick felt Weise's leg against his and went down like a sack of potatoes. It was a total dive.

Yeah, both Bieksa and Kesler are doing a lot of chest thumping. They got our attention, I guess. Makes it even funnier when the Ducks curbstomp them!

Yeah, I am listening to TEAM 1040 right now and some of the Canuck player interviews. Kessler thinks they really showed the Kings and the NHL something tonight. He has to be kidding. That stuff that Kasian was doing early in the game does nothing but let our PP practice in a game situation.

Wait, is that how the Kings practice their PP?

They asked him if it was salt in the wound due to the player that scored the Kings' goal. "I have no idea who scored their goal tonight." Man, it's lame when a team tries to kick someone's butt and they just shrug it off.

You know they know. You know it bothers them. Teams can't outwardly show cracks though.

Only after that POS Wiesse kicked his leg out.

It's hard to see from the camera angles but it looks like he grabs Quick's leg and pulls it. No doubt Quick goes down really easy but it probably doesn't get called otherwise so I can't blame him. A blatant rough like that should be called IMO. The Nucks would have a hissy fit if we did that to their goalie.

Hate to say it, but we can't rely on Greene anymore. Every game he plays, I'm worried that he's going to get hurt. Then he gets in a fight where he doesn't take many punches and gets hurt.

Greene getting hurt also severely hampers DLs ability to go find a good trade. He would have been a good candidate, or he could have traded Martinez, now that can't happen.

Canucks fans thinking the ticky tat crap they did all night starting at the drop of the puck was 'toughness'... :biglaugh:
I hope the players are equally as delusional. The Canucks are our dogs and there is nothing intimidating about them. They tried to play dirty and it still blew up in their face.

And I think it's safe to say if he does in fact have a concussion it's a result of Bieksa's couple punches after they were both laying on the ice.

Loved Sutter in Post Interview. When asked about the lower number of shots. :yo:

"That's not disappointing. We have had forty plus shots the last 3 out of 5 games, so this week we decided we were not going to take as many shots and we were going to practice running the goalie because we had to a better job, because that's what they said we do, so we gotta do a better job, but we forgot to shoot the puck while we were doing it."

If the Canucks feel they need to play like this from now on then I say let them. I actually welcome them to try this against the Ducks. Let's give the Ducks an 8 minute PP and see how that flys.

theMajor; said:
id take Muzzin at his worst over Matt Greene....

i'd like to kindly apologize for this statement earlier. Matt Greene looked decent tonight and Muzzin played like doodoo again :help:

If anything, they lost any edge/surprise they had going into the next game. They tried to play our game. We love when it's trench warfare, and I'm all for that.

It's not much of a moral victory if it's not a victory. Hell, they opened up another 2 pts for us in the stands. Sweet!

Yeah, if the Canucks and their fans think that was tough hockey that bothered the Kings or Sutter at all, they're nuts. Sutter was literally laughing in his post game press conference.

We pussed out big time tonight. Quick and Doughty got run and nothing happened. Nolan could have fought Sestito? Am I missing something? Where was RR tonight? Last game he challenged Sestito after that hit on Williams. Bieska was taking shots at guys all night and Matt Greene, who is a terrible fighter and oft injured has to do the fighting? Yuck.

I would had hoped the Kings kept Carcillo just for a game like this. It was a little embarrassing.

Yeah, not defending Weise. I don't get why he was even in the crease to begin with. But my point was that there's no way a suspension is worthy in this case like some have suggested.

I think the Doughty slewfoot is the focus of that.

Gold.

Runners up:

"Henrik Sedin, on delivering a message throughout the game:
We played a great game. I think it was up there with our best games of the year." Gold star, thanks for the two points! Remember when Toronto said that?

But really, I like this one:

"Henrik Sedin, on being called for a penalty his brother committed:
Yeah, I like that though – fantasy points."

Yup, yet another reason I wish Carcillo was on this team. When the game went south I'd lean over and tell him to make it happen. Let him go thermonuclear on Sestito or Weise

The funny thing is that the Ducks PP isn't that much better than the Kings PP, at least statistically.

The longer the Canucks were able to stay in the game while taking penalties and being physical, the longer the Canucks were going to take penalties and play physically. If the Kings could've scored a couple times on the PP, then that kind of plays by the Canucks eventually stops.

Thankfully Quick remembered what it was like for him in the 11-12 season, and said oh yeah, I've done this before.

There was no message sent by the Canucks to the Kings tonight. The Canucks are still the Kings' lap dogs.
They did... They proved that the Canucks are the biggest disgrace in the NHL...
