Have you ever played hockey on a sheet of ice that has been skated on for an entire period and then tried to stick handle on it, specifically in close to the net where the most traffic occurs? I'm going to say no.

Not saying Sid's shootout attempts aren't typically vanilla, but to rake him over the coals because he isn't making dekes over a snowy, chewed up piece of ice is dumb.

I'm not saying he has to throw out 50 dekes (like Tats in the WC) but one or two and something other than his predictable 5-hole or low blocker.

He could have easily hitched like he was shooting and brought it to the back hand.
