Sid hasn't deked on a breakaway in years. he tried to go 5-hole or low blocker every time, and everyone knows it. He tried the 5-hole on the original attempt, which was saved and tried low blocker on the 2nd attempt, which was saved.

Try something new.

Have you ever played hockey on a sheet of ice that has been skated on for an entire period and then tried to stick handle on it, specifically in close to the net where the most traffic occurs? I'm going to say no.

Not saying Sid's shootout attempts aren't typically vanilla, but to rake him over the coals because he isn't making dekes over a snowy, chewed up piece of ice is dumb.

Letang, Adams, and several others on this team are absolutely worthless. we all talked about how Staal at $6M per year would be a disaster. we will see this disaster unfold with Letang for $7.5M instead.

First team I've seen since Boston that came out w/ the idea of being extremely physical. It's totally working. Well done by the Jets. Have to give them credit for that period. They bought in completely and it shows.
