I think Pickering really helped stabilize the d corps too.
Can’t watch and of course they turn in a great period…amazing…I’m still expecting the Oil to tie this up lol…but they must have come out underestimating us…they didn’t realize a) Jarry wasn’t playing and 2) we only suck with the lead in the third period…

Crosbys best play was the assist on the 1st goal he never was credited with. There is no evidence from the video footage Rust touched that puck so I have no idea why Sid was not credited with an assist on that play! Should be 3 assists in the 1st period!
Pens PR team should work to get that one corrected - as the league loves remove assists from Sid or not give them, so it should be changed just the same this time!

Karlsson especially has been amazing the last six weeks. He was good last year but the past 6 weeks Karlsson was the one I was expecting when we got him.
But still the rest of the team is so up and down (mostly down) I doubt this is a playoff team. It's a shame they're so old because they would destroy the league if they were together circa 2017.

Imagine without Steckel Sid would be 160 + points up the list really making a dent towards Jagr! But hey, I just rewatch that 40-50 minute presser when they ask Sid if he might never play hockey again, it could have been over 10 years ago.

Curious what you mean. This team cruises to a high seed if the big 4 were 8 years younger.
I had to stop and reread some of the messages here from certain posters. An entire page of positive comments is something that I don’t believe happened so far this year.
