Yeah. I think the only way out of this is to trade Rust away. The coach is delusional about him and is using him every way possible whenever he can. I think Burke publicly complaining about how bad teams have mismanaged their cap testifies to the fact that they've tried to make a trade, presumably with non-playoff teams and nothing was possible due to other teams needing to ship out bad cap despite still being bad. Fits with Friedman saying Hextall was trying to make a deal a month ago.
