This level of collapse should not be attributable to the absence of one player. I don't believe it is, but even assuming it's the case, that is a top to bottom failure by the coaches and GM.

it’s not all on Cronin. He doesn’t make Leo soft on the puck or cause him to the turn over the puck. As a young guy trying to establish himself in the league, the coach should honestly be the last thing on his mind. There is a lot more he needs to improve in his own game before worrying about the coach.
 
The ducks not getting a suspension from something this game is embarrassing. What f***ing good is trouba if we just inherit a neutered version of him. p***y
 
Yeah I think people don't even realize how bad the Eakins era was. They were entertaining maybe 10% of the time. Maybe people don't remember that stretch of 10-15 games under Eakins where the team would be behind 4-0 or 5-0 in the first period almost every time.

And routinely giving up 40 shots and getting outshot like 40-20.

This is a game where players needed to step up for Cutter and Gibson. The only guys who did that were McT, Strome and Vatrano. Maybe Fabbri too. Gudas didn't even stick up for himself really.

God damn, they could have lost 50-0 but unless Cronin is threatening to kill players families if they retaliate in any meaningful way, the lack of response is just pathetic
