Yet the team still has one of the best records in the league and wins almost every time they score more than 1. Yes, there’s other issues to work out, but if even 2 of the 5 mentioned young forwards were even remotely impact players, imagine how much better we’d be than the already exceptional record we have.

I’m getting to the point where I honestly don’t give a shit what the potential upside of Kakko, Laf, etc. is. Kreider is peaking despite getting his pay day. Zib is frustrating at times but still putting up elite points along with Bread. Fox is the best Dman in the league. Shesty is the best goalie in the league. I’d rather deal one of these kids and go for it while we can afford all of these guys than squander proven talent in Shesterkin and Fox for “potential” in Lafreniere.
Bad idea. Both players are 20. There are too many top end teams in the East for us to have any shot of getting a cup this year. Stick to the development plan; this was never supposed to be our year, and it isn't.

The young forwards all need confidence. Send them down. Lundkvist was just sent down. It’s time.
Sending Kakko and/or Laf down at this point is not going to improve their confidence. Probably the other way around. Kakko isn't waivers exempted anyway so...

they sat their top player. And changed the lines but ok
I would have started Shesty. He’s better and his puck play would have helped neutralized some of their forecheck. However, with the way the rest of the team is playing, I still don’t see us winning this game. I’m fine in the regular season trying to take 4 of 6 points instead of gambling. In the playoffs if Shesty sits after a good/ok game then I’ll get pissed.

Even the MSG production control room has checked out of this game. They DGaF about that stray Mercedes-Benz logo floating around center ice.

See, Kreider is a perfect example of a guy who honed his unique set of skills to become the best player he could be at this level despite some limitations. How he did that in this f***ing organization is beyond me, but that's exactly what almost nobody else we develop does.

This is ridiculous. Georgiev has been playing extremely well and Arizona is garbage. Tomorrow should be a win regardless of the goalie. Shesterkin should have been playing tonight.
You don't sit Shesty against a team that dumps the puck and forechecks the way the Canes do. You need a goalie who can handle the puck and that ain't Geo. And Nemeth is back to being crap. He had one good game. No point in this guy anymore

The only reason we are losing is because Gauthier ain't playin....

Kreids with most goals in the league from 5ft or less.

I've never seen a team struggle to get open and create lanes for eachother.

We are never or rarely a threat to score.

We subsist on the power play. That's about it. We can on the PP because the opposition is more stationary than on even strength. The top guys admitted to Vince their offense is a lot of improvisation. That's an indictment on a lack of real offensive system
