Post-Game Talk: #40: Leafs at Rangers (3 stars of the game)

So sick of people saying this without suggesting names. Who is a better coach that is available right now?

Now? Schonenfeld.

Its not like the Rangers are going to jack in the playoffs with Torts. May as well try an outside chance of a new face letting the team play.

Sather can worry about getting a new guy over the summer.

It's not like the Rangers are going to do jack in the playoffs with the one coach they had who has done jack in the playoffs with them in over a decade.

So when they get bounced in the first round(if of course they make the playoffs). I guess it will just be business as usual with Torts.

I think you guys misunderstood me with my "Long way to go" comment, but that's my fault for not being clearer.

Schony has made it clear time after time that he is not interested in coaching the Rangers. I've read this several times. He is extremely happy being the GM in Hartford...odd as that might seem. Likes it on the down low I guess.

It's hockey boss. You never know whats going to happen. Especially with an world keeper like Hank. They do seem to be limping right now but that could change fast...even with the Rangers.

Not a chance. This team has no transition game. No ability to consistently create offensive pressure.

They don't get bodies to the net, and don't go for rebounds.

We will be as frustrated with this team as we have always been.

We aren't the 86 Canadians, and Hank isn't Patrick Roy.

He would be just intermediate until the summer. But whatever, Torts is going to limp this team along for the rest of the season.

Hank looks more and more unhappy after each interview, He wants out of this gong show.

I don't blame him or the players around him. The team gets ZERO tactical answers from their coach. The only thing that putz can do is either slap a player on the back or kick them in the testicles.

....sheeesh. I'm glad we're not in a zombie apocalypse together. Would not want you watching my six.

Again...it's hockey. There is always a chance. They did plenty of that against a very good Penguin team. Hank is good enough to steal some games and that can make all the difference. Even if you don't know that, it's true.

Sometimes I think the biggest problem with the Rangers is this sense of defeatism that surrounds the team form all sides. Our fan base reminds me of the cubs fan base.
