Truly the sea has been parted to offer the kid the clearest path possible to not only an NHL gig, but top pairing minutes on a legitimate contender next to the best defensive defenseman in the league. At this point I say screw it and let it happen and hope by this time next year he’ll have his sea legs under him.

The Slavin pairing finished with just under 26 minutes, both were +3 on the night, and most importantly, they were out there in the final minutes of a 2-1 game and it was Slavin’s defensive play that allowed Faber to get the puck up to Larkin, who got to to Guenztal for the ENG.
