Good that it was a competitive game. Want the boys hungry. A lot of bad puck luck tonight, so hopefully we'll get more bounces on Thursday. Hopefully all of our guys out will be good to go on Thursday. If not, time to call in replacements.

Sloppy passing, short bench, really solid Swedish team.

I like Kreider more than Connor. Better fit for a bottom 6 role, IMO

Tkachuk-Eichel-Tkachuk
Hughes-Matthews-Guentzel
Miller-Larkin-Boldy
Kreider-Trocheck-Nelson

Werenski-McAvoy
Slavin-Faber
Hanifin-Fox

I'd like to see Boldy and Hughes swap spots, too. If he's not turning it over, the puck is still dying on Hughes's stick. He was electric most of the Finland game but he's been out of it since.

I like that. I was thinking about swapping Guentzel & Boldy, but I like the idea of Hughes too.

Be nice to get some offense from Miller & Fox too, they haven’t chipped in much

Not exactly the most important game in the history of organized hockey. At no practical cost to the U.S., Sweden gets a win to save face, key U.S. players needing rest get some, and down-bench players see more ice time. Win-win-win, even in a meaningless loss.

Not exactly sure why we have to play Canada again, having beaten them once already, but should be an intense game anyway so what the hey.

It's just entertainment after all. Merely hope that nobody else gets hurt for either team.

So Charlie McAvoy was just admitted to UMass General?
I thought you were joking.

It is Mass General Hospital. One of the best hospitals in the country. The Boston Globe says it is precautionary and related to his upper body injury.

Hoping everything is ok with him.

*UMass Medical Center is in Worcester and nowhere near Boston.
Yes, I believe in miracles. :)
