Defense is awesome. Mobile, stick handle and will get plenty of offense from the blueline.

Tons of talent to pick from. Thompson and Keller will have ther time.

Still shocked USAH didn't throw one curve ball. Was fully expecting at least 1 of Rust, Copp, Hartman, Jones, etc. to make it, furthering my oft desire to jettison the USAH decision makers into the sun.

Copp shouldn't be mentioned, no. But it's a reference to USAH's history of brain dead selections for our best-of teams. We are so used to it we basically expect it now. Remember the great Abdelkader experience?

Yeah, I think it's obvious it's Nelson and that's why he was picked.

Someone gets hurt- center, winger, PK'er, PP'er, bottom 6, top 6- you can move guys around slightly and he can replace almost any role with the minimal amount of disruption.

8 players on this team come from two single NTDP years; 2001 and 1997. A further 6 come from between 1997 and 2001. A true golden generation that it is entering its prime and should be the strongest US team since the 90s.

You would have one of McDonough or Vlasic play RD ahead of Jones, but Jones is a more impactful RD than Carlo. I'm a B's fan and Carlo is next to useless with the puck, literally.
