Rumor: 2024-2025 Trade Rumors and Free Agency Talk | Part Deux

Interesting. I think this signals Calgary is pushing for the playoffs 100%, so any talk of Kadri/Andersson can die.

I think Calgary got better today with Frost and Farabee.

Kuzmenko is pretty meh but I feel like Philly is getting him for Michkov.

Pelletier can maybe be good, scoring at a decent rate this year and has looked too good for the AHL. Though he might also be one of those AAAA superstars.

Yeah.. I knew this the moment I liked the trade idea. If they've got a shot at that money they're taking it.

I know there’s a polarizing attitude towards JT Miller here. And I get it. He’s got a shit attitude with a questionable work ethic on ice. But at the same time, he quite literally provides exactly what we need.
He has size as a center, he has sandpaper to his game and most importantly he generates offense, which we are desperate for.
Now, will he mesh in the room? IDK. Will he cause problems? IDK.
But let’s be honest, if he had a good attitude, he would never be available in the first place.

We basically need 1 of 2 things to happen. For Mitts to become more consistently the guy who was here for the first 40ish games, or for a clear upgrade.
I struggle to find any 2Cs out there that are available that are clear upgrades. What teams, have a 2C available, where they’re interested in downgrading the position?
If by we need a shit attitude and a questionable work ethic, I think you may have missed the mark. Parsnips has size, is a center and has sandpaper to his game. That does not make me want him to be our 2C.

Nope, they need to retain on Jones. Wood isn't quite a dump just yet.

Jones at 9.5 is a no

I get the sentiment though.
My line of thinking

Drouin- Mack - nuke
Leaky - necas - wildcard/landy/tdl
Colton - Donato - loc
Kelly - drury - kirvi

Pars

Towes makar
Girard jones
Plug plug

You get rid of mitts/manson/wood I have no clue how that affects the cap

If NO other option was out there for D, and it's the 11th hour, and all it takes is Wood to make the money work maybe I say yes.

Jones is really good, but pay whatever to get them to retain some on him. Even 2M..

This. Flames are gunning for the Avs' wildcart spot

Pure speculations unfortunately

Dhaliwal is the most connected insider to the Canucks supposedly.... So there's certainly some smoke to this.

Miller would be fascinating. Mostly because of the stark difference in opinions people on here have on him(And Pettersson for that matter).

Personally I like Miller a lot more for us. A more reasonable cap hit that allows us to continue rebuilding depth around the edges. And I like the competitive spirt and also think our locker room would be much better at keeping Miller under control, allow him to be as competitive as he wants to be but without crossing the line. I'd trust Landy and Makar to do a much better job with this then freaking little boy Hughes in Vancouver.

And I dont think Mack/Miller would clash at all because I think Miller would quickly see how competitive Mack is and how he wants to win just as badly and would basically just want to replicate that energy.

But, we'll see if anything actually happens.
