Brodin is out with a LBI, rumoured to be a bad back(which has never been a problem before). He has been his usual peerless self this year, but if he is injured than Sweden will have to go elsewhere. JEE started out the year really well, then missed a few games because of a leg injury. Is back now, but not playing well. I think he is playing hurt. Unless he heals up, Sweden might do better to look for replacements for both these players.

I thought you meant Erik Gustafsson, the d, thats why i listed dmans. You should have understood that.
Fair enough, my bad.

Also Sandin is not bad. Ekholm might be old but is still a great player.
Sandin is small and slow. Gets beaten regularly by the high end players. He has no elite tools, unlike Liljegren.

Ekholm was a good player. By 2026 (turns 36 that year), he won't be. That is when these guys typically break down. Karlsson unfotunately may find himself in the same situation by 2026.

Ekholm is still good right now. He is making the 4 nations. But in Olympics 2026 he is probably out. Karlsson is already breaked down.

He's playing for a shit team and still has the 13th highest ppg amongst Swedish forwards, just under Rakell & JEEk.
I suppose.

On another note Imagine not having a best on best for almost nine years and when the opportunity finally comes along you bring an over the hill Mattias Janmark.. However underwhelmed I have been with Hallam so far I’m really happy that Garpen wasn’t allowed to feck around for more than a couple of years

Hallam want some savy veterans instead who can defend
Ek has become one of the most voracious back checkers I've seen in a while for the Sharks. The savy vet part I get, but he should also be using this tourney as an audition of sorts for the Olympics.

f*** right off. Nyquist is 35-years old on pace for 35 points. Yes he had 70 last year due to getting spoon-fed by one of the best wingers in the game, on top of that he brings no defense. You might aswell have gone with Garpens favourite Janmark.
