Yeah they wereWhole 4th line had a pretty good game and probably could have had an extra shift or two

I'm giving all of these guys a 15 game leash before I get pissed with them. All of the guys that have frustrated me the most (Mika, Hayes, Zucc) all have shown some glimmers of really good play. Mika especially has been faced with some brutal matchups to start the year in Ekholm-Subban, Josi-Ellis, Slavin-Hamilton, and Vlasic-Karlsson.Now he's healthy and unlike the last two years where he came out on fire, he's come out horribly.
Really perplexing.
Names' first game as a Ranger was pretty goodThat worked out really well.
We were badly outshot in the first two periods but I don't think we were playing that badly. San Jose is a really good team. Anyway Henrik kept it close and then we carried the third apart from a period of time around DeAngelo's interference penalty.
This is the first time I've seen the Rangers in the regular season this year by the way. We were out in California and flew back on Sunday right in the middle of the Carolina game.
I really liked Howden here. Besides the offensive plays he does a lot of little things. Pretty good defensively and very good at face-offs for such a young player. He's a rounded player like Stepan but he's a better skater with more size. He had one faux pas--getting to the bench to slowly on the Donskoi goal. DeAngelo I thought was great in the first two periods---the best I've seen him play. The third was kind of an adventure for him with the penalty and then getting tripped up by his own stick. It might have been the best game I've seen Namestnikov play as well and I liked Claesson.
I wouldn't be adverse to going with the same lineup against Edmonton on Saturday.
He did and i think this is what they expect from him.He has the talent,go out there and fight for the puck.Since his benching he's been much more engaged.Names had a good game

I don’t necessarily believe Chytil and Buch belong with the rest of them, arguably Kreider tooI know we are all happy we finally got a win but lets not go crazy boys. We didn't deserve this win.
There was A LOT of players who did not show up at all, mainly the fowards: Zucc, Buch, Kreider, Zib, Hayes, Vesey, Chytil all forgot that there was a game tonight.
Chytil line was dominant out there.I don’t necessarily believe Chytil and Buch belong with the rest of them, arguably Kreider too
Absolutely, I just wanted to add some context. I'd still say he's fared poorly overall, as have all of our forwards sans Chytil, Howden, Vesey, Fast, Buchnevich, and Spooner.1C’s tend to have that happen a lot
Not sure I’m buying that one.
That whole line can be better but as the 1C theres gonna be some expectations.
Can he answer the bell ? This is a big test
Eh, the skills are definitely there, as is the pedigree.
In his two years here, we’ve seen him look like that first like center the Rangers desire, only to get derailed by an injury.
I don’t think the expectation was for him to lead a turnaround, so much as an intrigue by what could happen if all the pieces fell into place and the health was there.
Buch really did nothing but that blind pass to tie it, Kreider had his 1 or 2 shifts where he used his speed (though his shot was brutal and led to a goal against)...and Chytil played like a rookie tonight.I don’t necessarily believe Chytil and Buch belong with the rest of them, arguably Kreider too

Chytil was a -2 with no shots and the least ice time. Not sure how his line was so dominant out there..Names had a good few shifts and that was it. How anyone could call that 4th line "dominate" is beyond me.Chytil line was dominant out there.
If I were a betting man I wouldn't put a nickel on him to do much of anything and as if not being able to take the reigns on a really horrible OTT team wasn't enough, you add in his injury history?
Hell no lol.
If someone's advertising @Machinehead 's Ferrari as a cream puff and then you get there only to realize that it's rusted out to the rails, do you just up the ante and buy it twice it's worth anyway?
As a great example of how garbage +/- is, you should go back and see what Chytil’s first minus wasChytil was a -2 with no shots and the least ice time. Ok, who cares about the +/-, he still has a nothing game and barely did anything out there. There was no "dominance" that you speak of. Not that it's a big deal, he's a 19 year old rookie, but lets not try and pretend he played a good game when he clearly didnt. As a great example of how garbage +/- is, you should go back and see what Chytil’s first minus was

Well one of the goals was in a line change, wasn't his fault at all, and the other one Skjei got embarassed. His line was on the offensive zone 80% of the time when they were in the ice and there were a lot of chances for them to score.Chytil was a -2 with no shots and the least ice time.
