Yeah you could see him looking around desperately for an outlet and there was just nothing

You get the feeling he's going to be a BIG playoff performer..
We got a point! Rebuild over! Trade Howden!
There's no way Buch saw Smith there.
It’s really the perfect season to beef it up, and I do like the guy they hired for it since there’s no guarantee they’ll be picking 1 or 2 and it’s be really beneficial to be able to identify the right order of guys after Hughes and (probably) KakkoThe Rangers are definitely focusing on the WHL these days.
They know what they liked in Howden and Hajek.
They’ve just beefed up their scouting for the league even further.
And there are no less than two potential first line centers and a first pairing defenseman who could go in the top 10 next June.
They’re paying attention.
He had a premonitionHe saw the play happen in a different universe.

He, just like Lias, has the "Johnny on the spot" factor that's just a part of his natural talent. The kid is always in the right position and knows what to do to drive play forward.
You keep saying young Jarret Stoll, but I see shades of a more finesse Jordan StaalBINGO.
If Howden hits close to his full potential, I think he’s one of those guys that winning teams have.
Yeah the 20 goals and 50 points are nice. But it’s the faceoffs, the versatility, the ability to show up in big games, the leadership, etc.
He’s the kid who takes the tough assignment and finds a way to contribute, even if he’s held off the score sheet. And frankly, even the score sheet aspect has grown steadily since being drafted.
Anyway..I'm done whining for tonight lol
