Solid win against a very desperate Canucks team. They might not be winning, but they're still playing really hard for Torts.

Just really hope McD is okay.

Torts has plenty of faults, but he isn't a dirty coach. He even has the utmost respect for McD, and said that he under utilized him here.

It wasn't a TOTALLY dirty hit, but if Burrows had the intent (which I wouldn't rule out knowing him), I'm heavily inclined to believe it was his own doing, and not Torts.

Underutilized? He tried to turn him into Rich Pilon II.

Sit McDonaugh for the rest of the year if you have to. We're 5pts from a guranteed playoff spot and have OTT & CAR at home after the Avs. we should be able to lock downn at least 4 pts without an injured McD

If the last game matters in any way it wouldn't be a bad idea to play him against Montreal to shake off rust and that's the only playoff team we have left outside of Colorado.

Not fighting itself, no. All i want to see is a TEAM. Like the 11/12 season. You can say what you want about my post, but i just want some strong team spirit. It prevents hits like this one.

Haven't we gone from being like top 5 in man-games lost under Torts to being like top 5 at the other end this year?

The attitude of that team was awesome. But that team hit it's ceiling. It needed more talent. Under a cap especially, when you add that talent you are bound to loose some attitude. And then it just become a mess.

It's always a balance act under the cap. Nobody is arguing that this team isn't too soft, it is. But who do you rather have, Zucc and Brass or Clowe and Prust? We couldn't keep Clowe and Prust under the cap.

Hate Torts, but we've been healthy every year with Torts outside of 10-11. In 11-12, we had the Sauer injury and Staal injury, not much else.

I'm definitely not a "TOFFNUSS" guy but Girardi's lack of response to players getting hurt is really starting to bug me. McDonagh got trucked right in front of him and he didn't do anything. Zucc rushed to McD's aid while Girardi watched. I'm not looking for him to pound Burrows in the back of the head, but I wish he did something.

I do think that's fair. People saying they'd rather see a loss and that is going overboard.

Back to the game. GREAT GREAT game by Lundqvist. Anyone else worried about how we got outplayed by a bad team and one that can't score and needed Lundqvist to stand on his head to win? I know that they're not Edmonton, but I was proud of how pissed off the Rangers were that game and just completely shutdown the Oilers to what I thought was only 1 very good chance and that was Talbot's bad rebound. They looked not as bad as they did against the Flames but a lot closer to that than the Oilers game. This looked like a Torts game though. For the most part not much from the slot and we did a much better job in front of Lundqvist in the crease than against the Flames.

rangers looked awful.
it speaks volumes though for us to put up 3 when we look awful.
normally when we look awful, we don't score ****

Vancouver might suck ****s this year, but they still play hard every game. They're fighting for their playoff lives right now. The fact that they came out all guns blazing doesn't surprise me at all.

I expected a tough game and 3-1 seemed about right. I was not expecting how easy they had it in our zone. Still a good job around Lundqvist for the most part. Nothing like that horror on that 3rd goal in Calgary.

Ryan McGod might not have gotten any points but he played a big role in the first two goals. Keeps getting better and more confident in the offensive zone.

I love Dan G., but I gotta say I'm a little frustrated by the lack of reaction there from him.

You see your partner down like that.....man set the world on fire...or something.

What are you talking about he immediately got in there ,I just watched the replay

Is this backed by man-games lost per season (I don't have great track on those numbers, but the sense I have is that we have been around top 5-10 atleast, could be wrong though...)?

“It’s not serious,” a Rangers spokesman said, referring to the initial diagnosis for McDonagh, who left the building with his left arm in a sling.

Nevertheless, the defenseman received treatment for an extended amount of the time following the match, and the Rangers already have lost Chris Kreider for an indefinite period to a left hand injury. After being remarkably healthy most of the year, the Rangers cannot afford to be without McDonagh for any significant stretch.

The Rangers cannot afford McDonagh to not be McDonagh. He could probably play banged up but he won't be as effective.

John Moore get ready. Is McDonagh playing tomorrow night?

Are you effing kidding me!!! I was just about to think, we're really good, just please god don'T let McD get injured!

And you guys are talking about McD got injured!??! By that piece of **** Burrows? ... god I ****ing hate Torts.

Good win though, love the 4th and 3rd line, love the shorties, keep em coming. Hank is getting into god mode.

Missed the game. Happy to see the Nucks get swept. Hope McD's alright. Didn't look too good. Typical of Burrows to take a run at a player with 40 seconds left in the game.

Hope Marty can switch gears now that he has scored. Would be huge.

They won't take a chance on mcd . Sit him for a few games to be safe itches even a little banged up, this team would love ice but lead the league in road wins

Fell asleep during the 2nd intermission :(

Marty? I don't believe it.

Any video of the McDonagh incident? :(

EDIT - Just saw it. Jesus........ :shakehead

Doesn't look like a concussion which is good, but the way his left arm was hanging on the way to the locker room did not look good.

I thought they played a pretty sloppy game. Hank bailed them out a few times and had too many loose pucks floating around the front of the net. Nobody really stood out to me. Most guys played well, but sloppy.

As for the McD hit, the more I watch it the less I think it was "dirty". Hit him in the chest and wasnt from behind. Looks like Burrows hands kinda just rode up on him. If McD doesnt come up hurt were not even talking about it.
