Apparently Lehner has turned into Roy

Every goalie doesn't magically turn into Roy against us. The more logical explanation would be this team is awful at shooting. Always sliding pucks along the ice, no screens, not enough traffic. It's perfect for any NHL goalie to face. Any NHL goalie can look good with the NYR shot quality on display for quite a while now.

Zibanejad has been terrible tonight.

It's mental. It's not easy coming back from a concussion. Most players play bad after that for quite a while, some for a very long time, some are never the same.

Sorry but I don't buy it. Lehner has simply been brilliant today. On top of his game and about as good as I've ever seen him this season and I own him in fantasy for past few years. Doesn't mean we won't win the game but if it's not for Lehner we are up 5-2 and ball game over.

Sometimes you gotta give credit to the opposing goalie like today....

The Rangers dick around with the puck a lot and often pass up good chances to make an extra pass, but they also have a lot of games like today where they just can't finish on a bunch of A+ chances. They don't have a lot of finishers on the team. We've known this.

Lehner has been playing very well this season, it's not just this game. It's that most teams simply overwhelm the Sabres, something this team is completely uncapable of.

Which goalie hasn't "been brilliant today" when facing the Rangers for the last month or so?
