A trade for a scoring forward is a matter of when not if.

This isn’t the Snowjob era of Islanders hockey where the GM just sits on his hands and puts all his chips into the likes of Shane Prince or Tyler “Chest Sniper” Kennedy.

I hear you about now, but those teams under snow didn't warrant trading any assets to "go for it."

Yeah but Snow also failed at signing any of his acquisitions (which is guess is just Smyth or Vanek?) unlike Lamoriello. Trading for and retaining Pageau has allowed them to not lose progress/momentum which Snow was able to do.

And then of course there's that "drafting" thing under snow...

Caps are having a bad game. It's not that we are playing well. I mean we are playing ok, but nothing exceptional

They're a bit flat, but I think that has to do with our energy level. We're doing everything but scoring.

The last 3 years, Snow did very well in drafting. Previous to that, he was a champion dumpster diver.

yep they are using only one side of the upper bowl and have closed off a lot of the corridor, so funneling people into a smaller area and still have lines but at least you can get back before the next period. It is only long right after the period from the two games that I have gone to.
