I'm trying to think what's a good spot for him cap wise. 4.5m x 5 years maybe?
This team shouldn’t be anywhere near that for him.

He’s fine in spurts but the guy is best served in a 3rd line role, and Quinn has very clearly taken a liking to him. Which means he won’t be used as he should

Trade him in the summer, his value will never be higher

The last time I remember enjoying two players this much was Jagr and Nylander together. Maybe Lindros and Fleury for a period, or the Czech Mates during their hot stretches (three players, who cares).

But none of them did The Kick. Or were DJs.
How about that short period of time when we had Gabby and Nash?

Quinn burying the lead, Lemieux has a broken hand. I don't recall seeing him get hurt.

Carolina is a tough team. I'll take the win. They pile 40+ shots every game against us. Henrik has done ridiculous against them in his career.

Panarin, Zibenejad, Kreider and Strome all played very well.

That is now 48 points for Panarin. Not a bad signing.

Individually they had moments, but didn't they only play together for a season or two? And didn't Gaborik suck?

Only half a season, actually. Not even.

And yeah, Gaborik was kinda booty by then.

I believe that season Nash and Stepan got a lot of time together. They both had killer seasons in the half year. That was probably the last time they had players scoring at that kind of rate before now.

Coaching staff needs to figure how to get Kakko more involved.

Ehhh, I’m not so sure. I think expectations were out of whack for him this season by some posters (not suggesting you).

He’s still just an 18 year old kid. Lol, he still can’t legally have a beer here in NY for another 26 months.

Experience and Conditioning are the only things he really needs now.

Kakko just needs to play games. He also was off for about a week with a leg injury. He'll get going at some point.

He'll get his skating and conditioning training in the offseason and come in next year more ready.

He still has his moments where you see it and what he can be. Kind of like what we've seen from Chytil the last two years

I tend to agree, just thinking that seeing how much Quinn likes him I could see Gorton wanting to keep him around. I could see him filling the Brassard role from 2014 as a big time offensive contributor from the 3rd line.

I'd only want him on a super team friendly deal though. If he wants to wring every penny out of his next deal he can pursue that elsewhere.

Panarin playing like prime Martin St. Louis. The way he wins one on one battles by using the opponents bodies/momentum along with little shifts of his own positioning is a sight to behold....also the kick is contagious as Strome tried one as Panarin joined the celly on his goal.

I don’t trust that dude on the left..

Something about him just ain’t right...

Awesome game to attend in person. Especially sitting 15 feet away from Messier, Tim Robbins and the guitarist from the Strokes. Also had the pleasure of bumping into Chris Christie on the way out.

Panarin and Zib were unbelievable all night. Zib was also a beast defensively - made some key plays.

Jesper Fast also stuck out to me in a good way tonight. I always appreciate his hustle but he seemed to have a bit more jump this game.

Buch was solid, I thought. Wish he has another level. He'd be so good. But probably doesn't.
