I prioritized hockey sense over skating (both of which I consider the two most important attributes for players to have), but I might start to prioritize skating now. It does make a huge difference. I see more players with good skating and not-so-good IQ make it over the reverse. As (I believe) @Machinehead said, as long you can skate, there’s a place for you in the NHL.

Time and space to make plays is so difficult to find these days. Speed is the simplest way to get it.

Watch kakko figure it out, first comes him being used to the schedule. Then a rangers trainer will be sure to target his speed and acceleration, Kakko era hasnt truly exploded til then
