Could we see Zubrus return tonight even without a full practice? I'd think it's likely...

And there we have it. Definitely need him back and up to speed ASAP with the whole Kovy nonsense.

Let's see how this next week or three shake out. Get hot at the right time Devils.

DeBoer on Zubrus: "We missed him. He’s a guy that plays all situations for us when he’s healthy..."

DeBoer cont: "....penalty kill, 5-on-5, power play, last minute of a game. So, he’s a welcome addition.”

Lets be real here, no team is a joke... It's almost disrespectful to say so. But with that being said, the Leafs are plainly doing better than us, and so they deserve to be above us in the standings.

As for the Islanders, the Devils never play too well against them, but we do need these 2 (at least 1) point(s) from tonight if we want to make the playoffs.

when was the last time they made the playoffs? when was the last cup? .....so, yes....theyre a joke. their run this season changes nothing.

like i said.....its pretty sad looking at the standings these days.

harrold fudged up on defense, deboer sent him a message in the form of isolation. Now he's getting his chance to correct that and be a part of the team.

I approve, when Harrold is running on all cylinders he is more helpful than Larsson at present. maybe Larsson will be better in one or two years, but today, he isn't. People need to get off Larssons jock, hes a rookie and he's playing like a rookie. He's lucky to be here.

making it look like Harrold will be in for Larsson must be Pete's April Fools prank

Just had to :D

We have Zubes in that final minute it's a world of difference just like it would be if we had Brodeur available when Heddie sucked dong.

How do you even know Zubrus would be out there? Pete isn't even putting Elias out there.

Larsson looks Bambi-esque too often, I'm fine with Harrold in, happy he kept Tallinder, and Volch would be burned badly by these fast guys on the Islanders. Logic choices by Pete imo.

While I agree with the Larsson bambi-equse comparison, Harrold has been awful lately

I mean he is now after they blow the lead but we didn't blow the lead yet. If we didn't have Zidlicky for the Mtl game and put Tallinder in instead we win that. Same for playing Gionta in a defensive zone faceoff.

That hindsight coaching was easy ;)

Newly signed prospect Anders Lee might play his first NHL game tonight for the Isles.

Queue up the "I scored my first NHL goal on Marty Brodeur" thread.

Harrold has some decent speed, that might have been a factor about why he's playing tonight. The Isle's are a pretty quick team...

This is a huge game. A regulation win drops our magic number from 28 to 24 and gives us an 80% chance to make the playoffs. A regulation loss brings us down to 60%.

I don't know why certain posters are expecting 2 pts just cause we're facing the Islanders. They've been a team that has our # for the past couple of seasons now and with the way we've played against both Florida teams, it'll be a dog fight more then anything else IMO.

Let's just minise our mistakes and we'll have a shot.

P.S. Is it just me our does our PP look more organised whitout Kovy on it :dunno: I'm not saying that we should take him off the PP but we are passing the puck alot more and we're creating more chances the past few games.
