Well if the 4th line had a positive impact rather than a negative one, that would be something that might make a difference would you agree?

Maybe a playoff spot would be a slight stretch but with the offensive talent on this team, depth at forward could have a downstream effect that yields positive results. Easier to match lines, balance ice time, etc.

There's obviously other holes on this roster, though.

There's massive systemic problems to address before going head-on to fix the bottom of the roster. You also start doing things like slight overpaying the bottom of your roster to do that sort of thing, which in a cap world has ripple effects through your roster.
