It's really not a big deal. We have female cricket and football commentators. They are just another voice...

She sounds like she is in another building when she speaks. Might just be her microphone. It's annoying.

It’s because of the bass proximity effect. It’s what makes baritones and basses sound amazing when close miced (think the trailer guy “in a world”) . Since she is a woman she has no bass tones so it sounds funny and low HD.

Yeah, no doubt, as long as they're good at it, it would quickly become as much a part of the ambience as any play-by-play guy. But not having heard it yet, it's a little mind-bending for me think about.

I'm not saying that in any sort of a sexist way; anybody who's good at it, should be able to do it.

It’s a female color analyst, A.J. Melezko or something. She’s not awful.

The play by play guy, though, gives awful a new definition.

Even though Hank has been fine thus far tonight, I just don't get playing him b2b. NOT necessary. Pushing the issue on him being the #1 goalie. He must have BEGGED to play, and if that was the case......what is best for the team?

He hardly worked against a depleted Anaheim team who only put up 19 SOG.
 
ADA has some jump in his game. Playing one of his best games this year. I guess that’s what having 40 relatives and friends in the stands will do for you. Too bad Hart is in net.

Lol he must have begged? Or Quinn just let him play two since Georgiev wasn’t great last time and there’s a huge break coming up
