This seasons woes aren't on Hank. But Hank of past years stops a lot more pucks than this years model, and it sure isn't helping.

What you and Machinehead don't understand is the fact that you can't throw out Lundqvist because he wants $1.0 - $1.5 million more than what he's worth and say, "Hey, we'll take this money and sign an average goalie, or let a kid whose played all of 7 games, and with the extra $3M we saved in the goaltending department, we'll spend that on a winger, even though our goaltending just downgraded.

That's pretty much what the Kings had to do when Quick got hurt. They haven't lost in a month.

If the Rangers used the rest of their big money contracts on players as good as Hank we'd be a top team in the East.

Nash isn't getting it done and we're stuck with him.

I will say again, if Hank thinks, and comes out to play the puck away, there is no first goal. Second time in as many weeks.
I was actually expecting to see him come out when the camera was panning towards the right.
Surprised he didn't.

I fault him for that especially for this game. Though, having McDonagh as the man coming back, he might be relunctant because it's rare that someone will get a clean shot away.

At least in this scenario we'd be bad enough to draft a young franchise forward or two. Something you need to win a cup in the cap era.

And yes, I too am souring on Rick Nash pretty badly. It's killing me.

Please. Every time he gives up a goal, no matter how much the defense ****s up, there you are screaming about his contact.

Because his contract sucks. For 8.5 he needs to be extraordinary just about every night like other players making that money: Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Perry.

even clutterbuck didnt think it was a penalty shot. he just continues with the play like mcd made a great defensive play.

Perry is at a PPG making 8.6 million dollars. Not good enough for that kind of money.

Ovechkin was a no-show for 2 years of his massive contract.

Hank has been by the best goalie in the NHL sans this year.

Agreed. He was mr. automatic with stopping shootout/penalty shots. It appears to me like age is catching up to him.

You're sour about the contract, we get it. It's a bit of an overpayment, yes. but it's like you're eating cold fries and complaining about it with each fry that you eat.

On a ****** sixth place team-- then he proceeded to be useless in the playoffs.

He's done nothing this season.

Lol so he scored 21 goals 0.95ppg and it's his fault the team wasn't better than 6th place?

He's been fine this year...he's had a bad past few games.
And please don't try and say he's been bad this year and base your argument on a small sample size because he has a 0.67 PPG. Your league leader in points Sidney Crosby who is much better obviously - even had a stretch this year from Oct 21 to Nov 23 where he had 5 goals, 8 assists, 13 points in 16 games.
