Al Trautwig strikes me as a guy that smokes and drives either an 80s Chrysler Lebaron or Dodge Shadow.

No offense to anyone here who does...

Because his contract sucks. For 8.5 he needs to be extraordinary just about every night like other players making that money: Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Perry.

Do you still not understand? With the new CBA, star players will be getting higher cap hits because dummy years are illegal. Stop using Crosby's contract as an example. His caphit would be 10-11 without dummy years.

And the cap is going up. So don't worry, Sather will once again have more that enough money to construct a **** team around our goalie.

Lol so he scored 21 goals 0.95ppg and it's his fault the team wasn't better than 6th place?

He's been fine this year...he's had a bad past few games.
And please don't try and say he's been bad this year and base your argument on a small sample size because he has a 0.67 PPG.
Your league leader in points Sidney Crosby who is much better obviously - even had a stretch this year from Oct 21 to Nov 23 where he had 5 goals, 8 assists, 13 points in 16 games.

He's been subpar this year. For all the complaints about Hanks contract, Rick Nash's looks significantly worse.

With Crosby, 13 points in 16 games can be considered bad. With Nash, it'd be great.

Nash isn't good enough.

Let's keep everyone out of the box. Play 5 on 5 and we'll get some work done unless Lundqvist decides to give Nils and MH an orgasm.

Perry is at a PPG making 8.6 million dollars. Not good enough for that kind of money.

Ovechkin was a no-show for 2 years of his massive contract.

Hank has been by the best goalie in the NHL sans this year.

Perry is also 3rd in the league in goals. Ovechkin as a "no-show" still scored well over a PPG in every year but one, and that year he still scored 38 goals.

The fact that Hank has been the best in the past means nothing. This is a league where Corey Crawford is a Cup winner. You just don't invest like that in a goaltender. The Hawks will regret it too.

Agreed about nash.

Agreed. Too bad that when Hank has ONE off year he rest of the team... Still sucks.

*sigh*

This is a bad post. Chicago is filled with talent, grit and skill. They can afford to have a crap goalie, we cant.Holy ****
