I literally watch every game and have no idea where your hype comes from. At best a 4th line C 10/10 guy and that's being generous.

There's no hidden secret about his skill. He's 23 and hasn't stuck.

He played college hockey. His pro career just started. And he’s been good in most of the games he’s played.

This is the first game in a loooong time they actually manage to get some sustained pressure in the offensive zone, rather than entering the zone and losing possession within 10-15 seconds. Goals are still missing but at least they are a good posession team for once.

Both teams look like ass. This will be a tough one to watch.

Really hating this game. Both teams have like at least a dozen players combined either in Covid protocol or just returning and have not played in awhile. This really doesn’t show the true strengths of either team so really can’t put much stake in this game.

Rangers have been the better team but couldn’t capitalize on their chances. Zegras scoring on that shot that hit the cross bar would have really sent this forum in an uproar. Lol

How can you watch Barron that period and objectively say 'He's terrible AHL player'

He's a net positive player. He wins draws. He hits. He grinds. He can defend. He can shoot.

He's the exact player we need on the 3rd line

I expect him to be at best a 4th line grinder. NHL salary minimum 4th line player. How is this guy discussed like he should be playing in front of Rooney, Chytil, Strome, Goodrow or Zib. He doesn't even get called up and we have C issues and Chytil has been trash. There's likely a reason why at 23 he's played 8 games.

It takes a Pandemic to get him in the lineup.

1- He turned 23 like a month ago.

2- It's not uncommon, especially for bottom six guys, to break into the league in their early/mid 20s. As I mentioned earlier, he kind of reminds me of Dom Moore, and Moore didn't break into the NHL until 23 either. Played a few years at Harvard and another couple in Hartford before becoming a regular. Moore went on to have a ~900 game NHL career as an excellent 3rd/4th liner.

No one wants more kids in the lineup. It's the NHL. No one wants to have excessive baby sitting. He's better than Chytil.

He couldn't hold Chytils jock and Chytil is currently playing the worst hockey of his career.

There is no comparison between them. A 23 year old 4th line center with size and speed who can dump and chase is literally summing up every 4th line center in the league.

There's nothing special about him. He's shown nothing special in his limited time. I hope he makes it. I'm a Ranger fan. I want everyone to succeed. I just don't get the love. He's very Vanilla.
