Glad to see Lundqvist starting. Would have been a mistake to start Talbot.

Lundqvist needs an "easy" game, and for the Rangers, the Predators will be as easy as it gets (at least concerning offensive chances against). Lundqvist needs a game like Talbot had against the Predators to build his confidence back up and find his groove (although I don't suspect this game will be easier than the last, last time against Nashville we literally only gave up a few chances)..

That said, I thought Lundqvist was rock solid last game outside of one goal. The last game was the worst collective effort since the Sharks game IMO. If it hadn't been for Lundqvist, there would have been at least 6 on the board for the Capitals.

After a **** show like that, he deserves an easy game.

So our actual lineup will probably look like this. Finally it starts looking tough :)

Zuccarello - Richards - Callahan
Kreider - Stepan - Nash
Hagelin - Brassard - Boyle
Asham - D.Moore - Dorsett

McDonagh - Girardi
Del Zotto - Stralman
J.Moore - Falk

Lundqvist

Swap Boyle and Dorsett and that's probably right.

Replacing Pouliot and Pyatt, two of the softest guys in our lineup, with Dorsett and Asham is quite a bit tougher......

Would love Haley to be healthy, but hopefully Asham can step in and play well.

I was in the minority but i thought he was good in his limited action last year.

I too like what Asham brings. Considering who we had in our lineup, I didn't like him being sent down in the first place.

Anyone who thinks this game will be easy, hasn't been watching our games.

I don't think it will be easy, but "easier" than the Capitals, yes.

Last time we completely shut down the Predator's offense from even generating moderate chances.

I'm not counting on that again, but I'm certainly willing to bet it's not going to be like the chances we saw created by Backstrom and company last night.

“@PLeonardNYDN: Lundqvist in goal. Pouliot and Pyatt scratched. Dorsett and Asham go in . Same Dâ€

About ****ING time!!!!!!!!

This just made my freaking day!
Tickets for this one are el cheapo on Stubhub if anyone's considering going, plenty of good seats under $50.

if Rangers can send Asham down why wont they send Pouliot and Pyatt.. are they both related to Sather and AV in some way?? they are AHL players at this point in their careers

I looked at our lineup and thought to myself wow this looks better...

then looked at scratches and saw no Pyatt OR Pouliot!!!

YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

“@stevezipay: G Carter Hutton will start for Preds vs #NYR Henrik Lundqvist tonight at MSG”

I'm sure they'll figure it out. Whether they are traded or sent down, remains to be seen. But neither is the worst option to have as a spare, which is a necessity as well.

I don't believe "Carter Hutton" is real.

Teams just trolling us now with these goalies they start

Read this ****ing gem.

"On April 27, 2013 he made his first NHL start. Carter dressed for last two regular season games, and first five games of the playoffs. Chicago went on to win the Stanley Cup. Hutton was given a Stanley Cup Ring. He did not qualify to be included on the Stanley Cup, and was left off the team picture."

 poor guy not allowed in photo, I'd feel bad as the person telling him that.

When he shuts us out tonight at least we can say he has a ring

By HF standards that means he is better than Lundqvist.
