Nope, it was pretty good actually when you adjust for score effects (and even then, they can't fully account for such a beatdown so quickly)

SVA
CF%: 45.81%
FF%: 46.37%
SF%: 39.77% (ouch lol)
SCF: 47.73%
HDCF: 54.11%
xGF%: 51.83%

It was completely to be expected that the Flyers would run up shots against considering for 38 minutes they were out of the game already. And even then, the Flyers only won the CF% battle in the 3rd period, and the xGF% in the 2nd period.

I generally appreciate the last two ratios way more than the ones on top.

Of maybe with goalies who are not letting in beach balls or with Mika playing the way he is now. Think that would have made a difference?
The difference is the team played like shit under Quinn, and started playing well under Knob. Even that loss to Washington, Rangers were the better team. Those are the facts. What the cause is, well we'll have to see. A Knob coached game against Pittsburgh would be a great experiment.

The defense has been solid from day 1. Goalies letting in 50 foot slapshots that are not screened is an issue no team defense can fix. Your top center playing with his head up this tukhus also has nothing to do with any defense .

Funny how both of those things happen when Quinn isn’t behind the bench, huh?
Ahhhh, yes. Shesterkin and Georgiev both decided that they hate Quinn so much that they will let beach balls go in. And Mika simply decided to take most of the first half off, all out of spite. I mean, yeah. No coincidence at all. That must be what happened.

Stop putting Shesterkin in that. It's Georgiev and Georgiev alone.

Shesterkin has been a top goalie after struggling his first few.

I dunno, at least Laughton looks kinda funny when he’s trying to be angry and vicious.

Morin just has those empty, serial killer eyes. That shit is the last thing you see before the trunk closes on you.
Reminds me of Glen Anderson, although Glen Anderson is like the nicest human being you could ever meet.

OR, and here’s a big kicker, they are all playing better under a different coach who doesn’t micromanage their every move? Could be that.

Your perpetual argument of “it’s always the players fault” is blowing up in your face in real time and I’m here for it and loving every minute of it.

Mind you I wanted to give him away for free this summer

he’s a tremendous 2C right now. I think we’d be nuts to sell the farm for Eichel instead of keeping this group of centers together.
We don't always agree. Hell, we rarely agree. But what I respect about you is that you admit when you are wrong.

Absolutely agree. Wouldn't touch Eichel with a 39 1/2 foot pole. He is going to be the C version of Taylor Hall. A perpetual loser.

Defensemen like Fox are players you build a team around.

He seems destined to become a Pronger, Niedermeyer, Leetch type. The kind of player the other team plans their game around stopping and the type of player who can take over a game on their own.

Fox gone would set the Rangers back years, and this is presuming they could find someone even remotely close to his ability to replace him. If things go like we are all hoping Fox and Makar will be playing trade the Norris trophy at some point.

Quinn Hughes, Dahlin, Heiskanen and another few will have something to say about that.
