When it comes down it, of everyone in the Rangers organization, I trust Allaire the most. I'm sure he had some say in this. They're probably working on small adjustments in Lundqvist game. Conveniently/coimcidentally Raanta is playing superb hockey so it all works out.

So what can all just end? I don't think AV is fretting too much over Raanta having a great stretch of games while Lundqvist struggled. If both goalies sucked then sure, but this isn't a "crisis" or some such crap,, I don't know why people make a ig deal about it. It only becomes a big deal if Lundqvist flips his **** and starts mouthing off to the press or something and as far as I know he hasn't done that.

Raanta is playing well, play the hot goalie and Lundqvist will get his turn again to get his game back and going. There's no controversy.

Going to have to take back what I said in the last GDT.

The game is on NBC SN, but also MSG2. I do not count that as an official national TV game. Therefore that is both NYR/CHI games on MSG this year after 4 straight were exclusive to NBC SN in 14-15 and 15-16 seasons.

I agree. Hoping a goalie gets lit up is the most ignorant way of thinking I have seen in a post so far this season. You want your team to win. Hoping your hot goaltender implodes just so you can throw your #1 netminder back in is... beyond asinine. If AV wanted to put Lundqvist in, he could. Raanta is the back up and isn't owed anything. AV is playing Raanta because he is coming off back to back shut outs and let up 1 goal in 3 games.

I don't know. Goaltending is such a mental game and you don't want to screw around (for lack of a better term) with your guy like this. It rarely ever ends well.

I know this is a totally different situation since Fleury has the mental fortitude of a 12 year old girl, but the Penguins have totally shot his confidence and in doing so his trade value as well. Now they're at the point where they can't even start him without the fear of him giving up 4 quick goals and having to give him the boot midway through the 2nd.

That said, Lundqvist brought this upon himself and hopefully he takes this the right way and learns from it and moves on. He really has no choice with the contract he has.

It was mostly a joke and a play on Raanta rooting against the Blackhawks during their Cup run.

I do not have the skills,

I just think the headlines are funny. Sometimes a goalie goes cold and the back-up plays, not sure what the big deal is. There are a ton of games left.
