Typical Caps boards overconfidence. Last year was more of the same. Their posters think this is an easy series and they take it in 5/6. Hell some are even talking about who would be best to face in the 2nd round. Im betting this one goes 7 games. Thats all I'll say.

I see more picking caps in 4 than caps in 5/6 :laugh:
 
I think this goes to 7, and we win.

But if this team gets knocked out in the first round by the Caps, I will ****ing vomit.
 
its crazy we're playing them again.. what is it like 5 out of the last 6yrs we've played them 1st round.. should be a real goood series and go down to the wire.. they arent the same team we faced early in the year and neither are we..

only thing that sucks is Staal is out.. bc we all kno how he handles Ovi... should be a good one fella's
 
If we can get Marc back and Dorsett in I like our chances. I think it goes 7, but adding those two would be a HUGE boost. I think the 2nd line make or breaks us in this series. If Steps and Cally can continue what theyve been doing we'll be ok. Plus I think Holtby can be rattled.
 
Rangers were 2-0-1 against them this year. I know the Caps have been hot lately, but if the Rangers play the way they have been lately I'm confident they win the series... and it won't take 7 games this time.

main board is overrating the caps big time. i love it. cant wait for a potential upset. if staal dorsett and clowe come back i think we will win

Those 3 getting in the line-up and being playoff ready will be the difference in whether or not this team gets past the first round, imo.

Especially Staal.
 
The Rangers played their best and most consistent hockey in the fourth and fifth months (January and February) last year.

This year they are clicking around the same time. Except now, because of the lockout, it happens to be as the playoffs are starting. I wasn't sure if this group was going to come around, but it seems as if they are doing just that and at the best possible time.

They keep the series at even strength and they win in five or six.

If they give the Caps PP lots of ice time they don't get out of the Quarters..

Also I'm gonna puke if Doc, Pierre and Eddie Olyczyk are doing this series.

Last year was a Caps fap fest between the three of them.

Pierre is fine. I mean, he's weird, but he's as neutral as you can get.

Doc and Eddie will probably spend half the game talking about how we got eliminated by the Devils last year, and why they're better than us

or last game when mike and keith where talking about how kovalchuk deserves to be in the playoffs more than nash and why that was a good no call when kovy crosschecked nash on the breakaway
