So ****ing pumped for this series.

The rivalry is starting to develop nicely between the fans here, each side is predicting easy wins for the other on the main board.

I honestly think the Rangers could take this easily if they're on their game. Key word being if. The Rangers need to stay out of the box and slow Oveckin down. I like the matchup of McDonagh vs Ovechkin, now that OV's on right wing. The matchup in prior years has been Girardi vs OV, when he was on left wing.

They also have to watch for Green. He's been playing like an elite offensive defenseman for several months, now. 12 goals and 26 points in 35 games.

Also, Lundqvist needs to be on his A game, hopefully these 2 days of rest help to get him ready and rested for Game 1.

1 point separated these two teams in the regular season. This series will be a battle for both sides.

Yeah but he's not nearly as good (Marcus Johanssen). That's the power the #1 center has on a team. Johanseen has replicated his style and you can't tell the two apart aside from their hair.

And that dirty mustache. He's so handsome. Going for the Tony Stark look.

:(

Callahan was injured during the playoffs.

Could have honestly seen the Rangers pulling that off in seven if they had Callahan. He was unbelievable that year, and I think it would have helped make Dubinsky more effective. Even if they lost, it would have been much closer.

How many players from our 2011 roster do you recognize? I realize the regular season series has no barring on the playoffs but why are you bringing up a series from two years ago? We are a completely different, and better, team than two years ago.

That has nothing to do with his point. His point is solely that the regular season has no meaning come playoff time.

So we won the season series. Big ****ing whoop.

omg this sucks. i dont want to ****ing play washington again. our games with them dont even get chippy and we've played them 3 times in the playoffs in the last 4 years. you'd think there'd be some bad blood...

I agree I don't give a **** about the season series. I guess I just hot a little defensive, I've seen some cap fans say this should be an easy won for them since they've beaten us in the playoffs in the past.

Good. Let them and the media and everyone else in the world think they are going to take the series in 4. This team plays far better as the underdog imo. As long as Hank goes into beast mode we'll have a great shot at knocking the caps out.

These ****ers again? Ugh, great now we gotta hear that stupid ass lets go Caps horn all game, along with their annoying goal horn, their front running fan base, Ovechkin leaving his feet on every hit and insert whomever is calling the game on NBC tell us about his passion. Just win.

The main thing to look at is that the Rangers have been very good at staying out of the penalty box this year. I dont know for sure, but they might have the least amount of times short-handed. The capitals are built on their power-play and we usually do a good job of not letting Ovi beat us. Hank always does well against that PP one timer that players like Ovi and Kovalchuk are very good at. I am not too worried about them 5 on 5.

I think we take it in 6. The Rangers have been waiting for the playoffs. Its a fresh start for them and this team has a ton of experience and knows what they need to do to get it done. Nash has been waiting for this moment his whole career. Hes going to be big time.
